How old were you when you first picked up that controller and dived in to the magical world of video games? I was about 5 and I started with Tekken 2. Then at 6 or so I played LoZ: OoT.

Probably 3-4 years old, or so. My dad had an Atari 5200, the one w/ the weird controller w/ number pad. The games back then were pretty simple, such as Pac-Man, so a youngster could easily pick them up.

I have no clue, but my first game was Super Mario Brothers on the NES

I was 5; my father told me we were getting a Nintendo (which meant nothing to me) and instead decided to get a Genesis with Sonic 2, which I then proceeded to call a Nintendo for . . . far too long. I also seem to recall the boss at the end of Emerald Hill being the absolute end of my earliest gaming adventures, as it had somehow managed to overcome my complete (and singular) mastery of holding down 'right' on the dpad. Pretty sure I just had my father beat that boss for me so I could continue my mindless journey, where I (most likely) drowned somewhere in Chemical Plant. I kind of wish I remembered the first time I beat that boss -- I was probably super proud of myself.

I think I was three or four. We got an Amiga with about a hundred game from one of my dad's old students. It was awesome. And soon after I got my gameboy pocket!

About 2 or 3? I can't remember my first game; I was playing a bucketload of them before I even started forming memories.

I know at two I was already hooking up our game systems by myself. I was always fortunate to have a ton of options with systems growing up so I can't remember what my first game would have been.

Age 3, as far as I know (since I can't recall anything earlier). My parents had an Atari 2600 that they got before I was born and my first years of gaming took place on it.

My earliest video game memory is playing Frogger with my sister on that Atari.

I definitely played a video game for the first time around the age of 3 or 4. But my first console was bought for me at age 6 I believe.

About 3-4 years of age. I remember watching my older brothers play on my uncle's Atari system, and sort of, trying to attempt to play a few games and playing on my brothers Sega Mega Drive (Genesis. )

The very first game I remember playing was Chuckie Egg on our family Spectrum 128K. It was freakin' awesome (once the the five-minute load time was finished) and I used to play it for hours with my brother.

We progressed to a NES after that and I was introduced to Super Mario Bros. That's when my gaming obsession truly started.

8 or 9, back in 2002. My first game was Tomb Raider on the PS1.

I really sucked at it, I never got past the dinosaur boss.

Probably like 5? Started with some DOS racing games like Test Drive 2, and Grand Prix Circuit.

Must've played a Commodore 64 around the age of 4. Sometime around when you start school.

I think my first console was an Atari 2600. I remember having it the same time we got a NES, and I would have been around 4 years old.

Amiga 1200 in Christmas 1992. So I think I'd just turned 5 years old?

I'm glad to see other Commodore friends in here :) I was a Commodore 64 kid myself. This would've been the mid-80s.

I played computer games growing up, so....4? I dunno. Lots of computer games.

My cousin had an NES.

After that, I got a Gameboy when I was 8.

I didn't as for a home console until the next generation came out, so I got the SNES when I was 10 or 11.
