I have to admit I don't like mashed potatoes. It just has a really odd consistency and texture for me, it feels like eating baby food. It's all mushy and... bleh, to be honest. Baked potato and new potatoes don't really do it for me.
A potato for me has to have some form of outer crust to get me interested. A nice roast potato, or a croquette, or french fries. Hash browns are pretty nice as well, actually.
Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew!

and salt/pepper!
Mashed Potatoes is my favorite type of food, second only to stuffing/dressing.

I love mashed potatoes and french fries. My friends think it's weird when we go out and I get them both as my sides.

Roasted. Crispy on the edges and fluffy in the middle. Perfection.

Microwaved potatoes are the most foul tasting thing ever.
Anyway, mashed is good. Scalloped is excellent.

homefries with tons of cheese and onion and garlic and mmmmmmmm
I like home fries best. When I'm feeling especially fat, I like to chop up a bunch of potatoes in round slices, then put them in a pan with diced onions and oil and a lid on top and let them slow-fry until they're super soft, and then melt American cheese on top.
It's literally heaven.

I love home fries, new potatoes and "homemade" chips. The ones that are thinly sliced and deep fried but they come out flexible and crisp on the edges instead of crunchy? Do you guys know the kind I mean?
