For my fellow yanks, what is the worst state?

For me, it's Mississippi. I have been in about half the US states and none of the come close. There is one state that I was parked next to a rusted out pickup truck carrying five literally pink-skinned half-naked guys with no teeth holding guns and blaring country music. That was in Mississippi.

Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Arkansas, and Kentucky kinda suck too.

Want to know what it is like to get sucked in a black hole of pure nothingness? Drive through Nebraska.

Honestly I've only been to a small handful of states and most of them had at least some sort of redeeming feature.

The Idaho panhandle is mega-boring I guess. I've driven through it a few times. A bunch of twisty roads and like, one Wal-Mart.

Mississippi's redeeming feature is that is has borders.

Leave Kansas alone dickface :colbert:

Okay, you're kinda right. But you're still a dickface. Your face has dicks on it. -nods-

As for your question I only ever been to Kansas and Missouri, so... Missouri obviously 8D

There is a reason why Missouri kind of sounds like misery. I've seriously never visited that state once and not have some bullshit nonsense take place. Record setting heat waves, record setting mosquito seasons, the entire fucking state decided to have their entire road system fixed at once, even when the roads are fine the locals drive on it like they still were... Fuck that state.

Pretty sure Ohio and Florida are pretty high up there. Ohio for being remarkably unremarkable and Florida because they think homeless people are not people.

I stay in New England and only Massachusetts sucks here. When I have traveled outside of my cozy little corner of the country, I haven't really been to any places that were that bad.

My only exposure to American states is when news comes from across the Atlantic, describing the next stupefying policy a conservative state has introduced. So I do tend to look at Republican heavy states with scepticism.

He has been accused of abuse of power, misuse of funds, failure to investigate sex crimes, improper clearance of cases, unlawful enforcement of immigration laws, and election law violations, amongst others. He has been found guilty of racial profiling in federal court, with a monitor appointed to oversee his office's operations. His jails have twice been ruled unconstitutional. The U.S. Department of Justice concluded that Arpaio oversaw the worst pattern of racial profiling in U.S. history, and subsequently filed suit against him for unlawful discriminatory police conduct

Say what?

If you need any further proof that Arizona is the worst, then I just found out that Craig Brittain represents a GOP Precinct there (https://twitter.com/AsherLangton/status/668895857773711360/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc^tfw), in Maricopa County, of course. And yes, that Craig Brittain (http://adamsteinbaugh.com/2012/11/09/synopsis-of-involuntary-porn-site-isanybodydown-com/).

Nah Kansas is the worst. They have an exorbent amount of dead babies on billboards. Like a ridiculous amount as you drive through it. You can't get any radio signal and creepy wheat Jesus pops out of no where. It's one of the worst states to drive through omg I hate Kansas so much cause of all those drives.

Arizona is a desert full of crazy people. Have to agree with Raistlin here.

Mississippi I believe is the fattest state which is also pretty bad.

You mean they finally arrested and convicted that asshat?

*reads wikipedia article*

Oh. It appears you meant something other than treating the guy who doesn't do his job, abuses his power and authority, treats the constitution like toilet paper and human lives like garbage like the criminal he is. It's a strange stance to take, I'll grant you that. Good luck with it.

I can only really judge the states I've been to, and out of those, Oklahoma is by far the worst.

Going by everything I've read, seen, and heard second hand, Alabama or Mississippi would probably be the worst states for me to live in, but again, I've never been there so I can't really say.

Also I've been to Arizona and I found it to be very nice, and aside of the brutal summers and high cost of living I wouldn't mind living there. :p

The fondest memory I have of driving through Kansas is being out in the middle of nowhere and seeing an anti-abortion "GOD HATES BABY KILLERS" billboard right next to a "LION'S DEN ADULT SUPERSTORE" billboard over the freeway I was on.
