Wiritng is a skill that takes a lot of dedication to master. The nominees for this category devote time and effort to make all those fictional worlds in their heads come to life and express themselves as the unique, irreplaceable individuals as they are.

That's why I'm just gonna put their stuff in the "I write like" analyzer and see how similar they are to other, more successful writers :monster:

First up we have Formalhaut. Luckily, he writes rather lengthy entries into our RP, so taking a sample should be easy enough. So let's see what we got!

There's a reason that WildRaubtier is not nominated for this award: he can't do as many squats in one minute as I can. That's it. That's the reason.

So, if the logic follows, that means that these other nominees can do as many squats as I can. Right? Well, until such a time as the gauntlet is thrown, I maintain my superiority. Not even Zach Fair could compete with my chiselled thighs and shapely buttocks. But if you're feeling brave, then you know where to find me.

The #eoff chatroom has changed a lot even in the comparatively brief period that I have been a participant. It's a lot quieter now, for one. There's no Dokal any more, so there's no more Indigenous Rover skill being bandied about. Trivia attracts far fewer participants than it used to, but peso is still the answer to every currency question. There don't seem to be many juicy #tot sessions, either. I even tend to stick my head outside to check the weather, rather than just getting Yumitsuka to tell me—when the robitch felt like cooperating.

But it's not yet !dead (or is it .dead these days? I never did get on board with the change of bot commands). At least, not !properdead, for real. Which makes these Best Chatters even more dedicated to the cause. They're steadfast, stalwart. Maybe they're extremely bored. It doesn't matter; the #eoff chatroom has always been a community unto itself and those sturdy few who remain are the type who form close, powerful friendships. Or they just talk absolute garbage. Or both. It's unimportant.

They're all Best Chatters. And so they shall remain until the fire burns out.

If you were to imagine EoFF as some menagerie, or a zoo (bear with me here!), then arguably the most exciting part of a zoo's life is the introduction of a new baby animal! Indeed, these little balls of creation draw many new tourists to zoos each year: there's an entire website (http://www.zooborns.com/) devoted to this if you want to inject some adorability to your life.

Just as baby animals are a source of much excitement for the world's zoos, at EoFF the arrival of new members causes us equal amounts of joy! I always enjoy writing for the Best Newbie award because it gives us a chance to pause for a second and reflect on the past six months of new arrivals, and to consider all they have given us!

No matter who wins this award, I just want to say to all of our newbies, that you're all the best in my eyes!

Unfortunately, moogles cannot be found in zoos, so I had to find an appropriate stand-in animal to fully represent fat_moogle. In the end, I went with a nice heavy animal to represent the plump moogle that fat_moogle has as their avatar: the elephant! fat_moogle has been with us for awhile now and is already making article contributions (http://home.eyesonff.com/content.php/3719-FFXV-Introduces-New-Slash-Link-System)!

I think I'm most happy about Mister Adequate winning best vet. I was a little worried that someone who joined post 2010 would win. Don't get me wrong, some of them are our best members (Bubba now literally is), but it would have rubbed me the wrong way a little.
That, and I'm playing the very very long game and soon I'll be the only one left to win best vet.
