FFIX weakest story element

What is the one (or several) parts of the story that you felt were the weakest and could be done away with or improved?

Amarant's integration into the party permanently, but that's about it.

I would've love some additional side quests to add.

Necro as the final boss.

How Freya's story is pretty much abandoned.

Necron as the final boss. And I would have like to see Freya more.

I really didn't mind anything about it. It was pretty close to perfect.

I even liked Necron because he really fit into the theme of the game.
