Think back! Where did your first date take place?

Think ahead! If you haven't had a first date yet, where would you see yourself going?

----

My first date ever was off a plane in Michigan to see my (at the time) 'online boyfriend'. There were roses, my first kiss, and dinner at a place called Lion's Den. It was pretty swell.

My first date with my husband was to a coffee place inside the Beau Rivage (a casino/resort place) at like 10PM on a Sunday cause I turned him down for Waffle House at 2AM the previous day.

I guess it would have been at this laaaaaaame under 18's night when I was 16. I sort of went because I knew the guy I liked at the time would be there and he asked me. I ended up downing a pint of fosters to try and impress him (boke) and we made out and stuff. Totally not romantic, totally a sad and stupid young girl chasing a who turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life!

I went to Bella Italia just after I turned 18 I think. At the time it was the classiest eatery I had been to without my parents.

I had pizza then I walked her to her car and we kissed in the parking lot.

I went to a midget golfing park with her. Figured it'd allow us to talk more than a movie or something. Turns out I had to do most of the talking, because my god, she was a quiet girl.

Dated her for 2 years. So I suppose it worked?

Depends on how you define date.

There was the time I went camping, with a group of people, didnt think things would get intimate, then they did.

And there was the time I took someone out to a movie one on one hoping things would get intimate, then they didnt.

The whole group of you got "intimate" with each other? That must have been fun. :p

Sorry, sorry, couldn't resist an orgy joke. Unless that's what you actually meant? :eyebrow:

My first date was 2 and a half years ago, with Formy, at a cafe called Ginger Two. I had a slice of chocolate cake and a line soda. He had a slice of red velvet cake and a strawberry soda. Afterwards, we went for a lovely walk around central Winchester.

To the cinema obviously haha. But I think my real first date with my first boyfriend whom I met on my 18th birthday, and he took me to a local bar for a drink.

With my current boyfriend, our first date was to McDonalds!

And then he asked me out. It was the first time I've ever been asked out before (and it was the first Sunday of University, to boot), so I dithered for quite awhile before finally saying a rather timid 'yes'.

First date..... Back when I worked at a grocery store, a bunch of my coworkers were trying to get this guy (he was too shy to ask himself I guess) and I to go out on a date and I finally reluctantly agreed. He kept going back to work on our date to ask one if the other guys what we should go do. I shouldve asked if we could take him with us but I was also shy. So.... Worst date ever? Possibly. I don't even remember what we ended up doing.

Obviously Mirage and I haven't had an irl date yet. If you can count Skype dates (or wii u chat, you can draw on the screen!)..... Teaming up to take over the world in civ dates are best dates. He really brings out my inner-war monger

He showed up at my hous and said he and his family were heading to see a movie and invited me along. We went to see one of th Scary Movies (3 maybe? Was there a 4?) and his mom and sister went to see something else.

First date with current boyfriend was officially at a restaurant called J Peters which isnt bad but isnt great. Luckily I had great company :p It was a while in to our first visit though. When we first met I spent a day at work with him!

Probably to the mall to hang out but that was a long time ago so I'm not exactly sure.

To the bowling alley and Taco Bell. Her mom drove and her younger sister tagged along. I think I was 14.

I don't know if you can call it a date, but the meeting with my friend ended up very passionately.
It happened four years ago. We stood in front of a flower shop located at the train station.
We chose this place because it was often deserted, so we felt very comfortable there.

I asked her to shut her eyes. I kissed her gently and timidly. She surprised me by answering my kiss fondly.
It was my first kiss. I felt so wonderful back then! I'll never forget it...

Although we broke up due to some unpleasant events, we're still good friends and these are our best memories. :D

My first date ever is so long ago I really don't remember who it was with or where we went. I'm old, sue me.

With Hubs, we didn't have traditional 'dates' because we were in a long-distance relationship. His first visit though was great. I met him at the airport, and we went out for dinner later. It was 4th of July weekend here, so the next day we went to the beach and watched fireworks. :)

I was 15 or 16 at the time n I'd met him at a friend's birthday party. He took me shopping then we hit up a movie. I honestly didnt think it was a 'date' at the time. I thought we were just hanging out as friends *sigh* so innocent. We decided on this movie (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKPy5RWuqNA) (I was underage) but we didn't do much watching.

First date: the classy Russian restaurant downtown, sadly long gone now.

Second date: the opera, for Puccini's Gianni Schicchi.

We ended up married, as it turns out.

Olive Garden.

We didn't make it.

It's settled, any involvement with The Olive Garden will ruin relationships, or the the possibility of one "blossoming"...

First date "ever"- Kindergarten, made plans with my "crush" to get our parents to "back to school night" (or one of those occassions) at the same time. We were walking together, our mothers behind us, when I overheard her mother say that they were moving far away and that she would be changing schools. First date=first (only...?) heartbreak.

First date with my 1'st ( )- I was shy and not very confident, she had grabbed my butt in class (HS) and got my number. She hounded me for months, I finally "caved" (she was hot, wtf was wrong with me). It was the 4'th of July. We climbed up on her roof to watch the fireworks. We kissed. I soon discovered that she was a total nympho. Turned my world upside down.

First date with my wife- my brother was taking out a girl from HS. She told him that she had a friend that was looking for a nice guy. Since my brother didn't know any (jk), he called me. I asked if he knew what she looked like. He hadn't seen her, so I suggested we go to pick them up in his truck (only 3 seat belts). That way, if she wasn't cute, I could say "sorry, no room" (ass, I know). She sat on my lap and we picked up my car. Went to a crappy pool hall with friends after goofing off at my parents for a bit. Love of my life, my best friend, mother of my 3 children, the reason I was put on this earth.

Almost forgot... Olive Garden. So, after the HS nympho, I dated a girl for several years. After breaking up with her (partially for "wtf, I'm too young for this", and partially for another hot girl), we went to the Olive Garden to talk things out. Didn't hear from her again for years.

A girl that I was "f buddies" with had met a guy at the mall, found out where he worked, and wanted a chance to meet with him again. It was the very same Olive Garden. She asked if I would go to dinner with her there (weird way to meet a guy, right). After we ate n drank, she went to the restroom. He was our waiter, when he came with the bill I told him she was interested, paid, then waited in the car for an hour. They were married, had a kid, and a nasty divorce.

Apparently, if you don't like someone, or just want them out of your life, take them to TOG. Done (sooner or later).

We definitely made it to the bedroom. Which is where he spent too long telling me about the water-cooled PC he built and forced me to promptly leave as soon as he was finished speaking about it.

My very first date ever?

As far as I can remember, that was with Leanne. We hung out for a bit, walked around the estate, I think we bought some snacks, then I got bored and went home to play my Mega Drive instead.

I posted a lengthy story of this before, but my first date wasn't really a date. This girl and I knew we liked each other and hung out in a somewhat large group. We kissed in a pool billiard within a bad neighborhood and later made out in the back seat of my friend's car. This was in 1999, I believe.

But as for something officially planned? I don't know. I always sort of fell into relationships. It wasn't until I was an adult where I actually set up a date, and that's because I used a crappy dating site. I think traditional dates are largely stupid and so are dating sites and apps. All you are doing most of the time is trying to hit a round peg into a square hole. Or a round peg into a square ho! HA!

Anyway, I find it to be more natural if you let relationships occur more organically. I get that it isn't impossible to use a dating app or whatever to get something special, but all of the times I tried (and even succeeded) there was always this air of awkwardness and just general bad vibes. Now, for those of you who are about to use social anxiety or something as an excuse to not try, most of the times I got into my most meaningful relationships that happened organically I was always in a weird, bad spot in life. I didn't have a good head on my shoulders. I wasn't confident. Only one of those times I would have considered myself attractive. I am actually at my most unattractive state I have ever been in, but I am in the longest, most meaningful relationship I have ever been that's edging on half a decade now.

Crap, I wrote I newsletter again. Here's an unrelated gif.

I don't think I actually remember. The first actual proper one I remember was going to watch Snakes on a Plane (for the second time). What a time to be alive.

The first with my current partner was mainly interesting because I choked on the steak and almost passed out to a lonely death by asphyxiation in the restaurant bathroom.
