Don't you just hate the name Dagger? What was Garnet (and by extension Square) smoking when she/they came up with that?

Yessss. My first few playthroughs I changed her name back to Garnet (My new name will be Garnet!)
My current playthrough is the first time I actually changed it to fit the story. I went with Claire. Still a pretty name for a pretty girl, but good enough for a disguise.

I love the conversation if you name her something else.

"So this is a dagger?"
"Yeah, a dagger."
"A dagger, hmmm..."
"Yeah, a dagger."
"Alright, I've chosen my name. I'm going to be Betty."

or some shit

It's fine as a cover name. I rename her Garnet.

Her cover name will always be Lili to me.

I am calling her Sarah and that's it.

I am calling her Sarah and that's it.

Of course I mean, that is her real name after all. She was 6 when she left so surely you'd think she'd at least have a faint memory of that. Therefore NOT call herself Dagger.

I can never bring myself to call her Dagger. Although I don't go for Garnet, I'm not up for a laugh that way.

I like Dagger but I usually name them after people I know or characters in my book or something. I thought it was dumb at first too but now I just... I dunno, it's grown on me!

My first time playing I did, but I'm fine with the name now.

I don't have a problem with calling her Dagger. Sometimes I even come up with nicknames for Dagger and call her something like Dag. :p It'd also be interesting if she took the alias Sarah as that's her birth name.

Dag nabbit (pun intended), now I need to come up with a new nick for her. Then again, Aki (from FF: TSW) and Juhani (from Star Wars: KotOR) are both male names in Finland, while both of those characters are female.

Having a traumatic experience in life can cause your brain to trigger defensive actions to prevent itself from being damaged.

I like Dagger. Good to see this time around there's more people like me. A couple years ago we had the same discussion and people just hated Dagger.

To actually answer the question. Ill say garnet because i always refer her as that. Just because it sounds easier or something. I should make a thread.... "Quina vs Licky"

(Cries softly at the notion that there are only a few people left in the world who hate the name Dagger)

I always thought it was dumb, and called her something else, but I don't hate it per se. I named her after maybee the last time I played through the game.
