I don't remember my 2007 introduction post, but my 2012 re-introduction post went fine enough; it was mostly a low-key affair.

My real claim to fame was single-handedly bringing the FFXIII team in the EoFF Olympics to second place. I also think that was the year of the first Secret Santa as well which I hosted.
