Final Fantasy Portal is a Square Enix app available for iOS and Android and they just hit their first anniversary! In a limited time event they're offering Final Fantasy II for free on your smartphone!

I went ahead and did this. I had just got done saying that I had no interest in ever really playing an early generation FF game as well, but I figure I have nothing to lose and it may exceed my expectations.

I grabbed this too. However I'm always playing triple Triad in that app and haven't played this version of II yet

It crashes almost every time I try to speak to a vendor. It was running alright for a little while but now it's just unplayable unfortunately and freezes my entire phone. Oh well, at least it was free.
