Today marks the birthday of one of the most iconic characters in the Final Fantasy series! Whether you spell her name with an s or an th, Aeris/th certainly made an impression on fans back when Final Fantasy VII was first released. Her death scene touched the hearts of many who had grown to love this spunky young woman with the interesting back story and the awesome theme music. Not only that, but she's made many appearances not only in the FFVII compilation, but in other places as well such as kingdom Hearts!

What were some of your favourite Aeris/th moments? Did you enjoy using her in battle? What are you looking forward to seeing from her in the remake?

my favourite moment was when she died was when she was on the gondola talking to cloud. its actually sadder when you know she is gonna die

She is the only reason I will actually play the remake.

Hmmm....I could've sworn her birthday was later into February. Will have to consult my trusty old booklet (which ive had since 1999, that's quite an achievement for a wastrel like me)

She's definitely an Aquarius, that I know.

I just love her.....every moment she graced the screen was beautiful. She was so brave :-)

(sniffle) It's beautiful. In life she'd likely be 19 years old or whatever. Man, time flies when you're having fun.

She was born in 1985, so she'd be around 31 now in our timeline. (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Aerith_Gainsborough) In FFVII she was already 22. Unless I missed what you were trying to say.

I suppose he started counting from 1997 as her birth as FFVII came out that time.

Yeah I always make sure that Cloud/ Aerith have high points together on CD 1 so they can have a final goodbye on the Gold Saucer and have a big happy night of memories before she goes bye ):
