Movie: This is a movie that I hate in retrospective, because I was just too young, at the time, to see it when it came out. (I was born in September of '85 and this movie came out in the summer of '89.) But anyway I hate Batman (1989) because it was basically a star vehicle for Jack Nicholson's Joker and they could've called the movie, "The Killing Joke," and it would've made no difference whatsoever.

Television Cartoon Show: The Batman (2004) I hate this show because it was, at least in the beginning about selling toys. That's why they made the smurfing show to sell toys. And that's how it was in the beginning. I don't know when things changed. Also, the Bruce Wayne character looked like the animated Jackie Chan character, and most of the bat-characters looked just plain weird. Say what you want about the Batman: The Brave and the Bold cartoon, at least that one was telling some stories right off the bat.

I was hoping that one of you, would at least say 1997's Batman & Robin considering what it did to the Batman franchise and to the comic book film industry as a whole...I mean comic book films were the kiss of death after Batman & Robin, which is why Tim Burton's Superman Lives never saw the light of day.

Oh, wait a minute. Never mind nobody loves that movie.

That there is nerd heresy. Shame on you, Ayen! :nonono:

Right there with the Big Bang Theory hate. Desperately unfunny.

In terms of movies... I thought that the surprisingly popular RDJ Sherlock Holmes movies were bad. They took a British institution and Hollywoodised it, and the result was a shallow, hollow, sham.

That's probably why I don't own the 80's Transformers cartoon series on DVD.

I'll jump on the Big Bang Theory bandwagon. It's not that I really dislike it, but it isn't funny, and has spawned all manner of merchandise. Those 'Bazinga!' shirts are eyesores.

I can't think of any others that spring to mind. I tend to watch shows I think I'll enjoy, and I'm rather selective.

Ah, you've sparked my memory with this show. I would say I liked it, overall, but it had several things I was indifferent towards. I can't say I dislike it, but it's among the few shows I've watched that I had definite issues with.

I'll also add that I never understood the love for Big Bang Theory. It's had some things that I found funny (okay two things), but it is overwhelmingly not funny. I was actively disappointed after hearing it was so good.

Yes, but have you ever pet a hairless cat? They're incredibly soft and warm, and you really haven't lived until you pet one.

Also, they didn't chose to be hairless, so how can you discriminate them so?

Ready your pitchforks folks cause WK is going to show you how to isolate yourself by unpopular opinions:

I never liked the Buffy TV series, none of of it, in fact, I'm not even a real huge fan of Joss Whedon's body of work and I don't understand why some nerds treat him like the second coming.

Movies? Probably most films with Will Ferrel, he's really hit or miss with me, mostly miss. I'm ostracized at work for being the only person there that hated Step-Brothers and I found the whole film just painful to watch.

To clarify, Sci-fi is my least favourite fictional genre out of all other fictional genres, and I've only seen the old 'classic' movies (against my will), because everything starwars is spoiled all over the internet, I already knew what was going to happen so it was kinda ruined for me...

...however my boyfriend is making me watch the new one with him this week and he says "you'll like it, there's also some cute sh*t in there too" so maaaaaaaaybe this movie might change my mind, everyone else says it's good, but still a pretty big maybe.

We shall see! :colbert:

Fynn

It might change your mind, because overall it's much less dated and I think it's really accessible to newcomers. Also, it's my personal favorite so far.

This is a popular pick here, but Big Bang Theory. It's a show about nerds for non-nerds, so I'm not surprised that most actual nerds don't enjoy it.

I also dislike pretty much any movie starring Will Ferrel, and anything with Adam Sandler after Happy Gilmore.

I can agree with most of this. Once in a while Sandler or Ferrel can make me laugh but not often anymore. I tried the most recent Sandler flick just because, and it was pretty terrible.
