FFIX is Live on Smartphones!

Yessss! It's here! Final Fantasy IX is now available on iOS and Android phones.

The game will need a large amount of memory to be able to download it, 8GB is required. The game itself is 4GB. So be sure you have space and a wifi connection when you download it!

There's no news yet on the PC version but since this one just dropped, it shouldn't be too far behind.

I caught a stream (https://gaming.youtube.com/watch?v=udWy8XbkoiM) of it. That showed off some of the new features. The speed boost makes the characters in the normal world roaming mode move so fast they're on speed or something. All jittery. It also looks like it's a battery hogger. They have it plugged in and it's still dropping the battery.

I can't help but notice a lot of sharpening halos on the FF9 backgrounds.

I'm tempted to buy it for my phone. I'd love to play through it again on a small screen.

Only thing that bothers me is those black bars on the sides. I understand why they're there and that this is just a port and not a remake/remaster or anything like that, but I still wish they would have given it a proper 16:9 aspect ratio.
