Hopefully they release this on PS4 like they did with FFVII. I rebought FFVII on PS4 just so I could platinum it. :p It was fun!

This is insane.

This is insane.

I honestly think the primary reason they add the "booster/cheats" for these re-releases is because of the achievements they add to them as well, because to the average person today it would seem unreasonably time consuming to do it otherwise.

If I didn't "Plat" it on Steam already, I would have too.

I like it. These are much more imaginative than FF VII's and VIII's (although Contrived Finish was pretty cool) and many of them feel like actual 'achievements' in the truest sense of the word.

I think I've did most of these over the years already. The ones I'm sure I haven't done are 30 back attacks considering I almost never use What's That!?, Excalibur II because rushing this game isn't fun and have a character with all status ailments and buffs at one time. I'm not sure if that's possible considering how quick some of these fade off like Protect and Reflect. I don't think I've used defend 50 times either. That ability seemed to stop being that necessary since Final Fantasy VI.

Would anyone who's ever obtained Excalibur II say that doing all of this is possible in one playthrough?

Well with the speed boost thing they have on it now, it probably could be possible.

You say achievement, I say torture. I have horrible flashbacks of attempting the 200 lightning dodge challenge in FFX.

All in all not bad, especially compared to the somewhat 'meh' achievements FF7 and FF8 PC had. :D

Have a single character affected by all status ailments

Should be easy with the final battle, just turn everything off in the main menu that you have learnt and let necron do his Grand Cross move ???

No. I mean, technically you can get Excalibur II and then go back to time-consuming things that ...

No. In theory. But a very low probability. You basically would need automatic best score in the Blank Duel and do the Fossil Roo digging part totally fast, et cetera. You can do alot of stuff later but it is just too much. I would expect it from the Japanese version.

These look pretty fun! Some of them will be quite a challenge too.
