Final Battle Line Up/Strategy

I favour Zidane, Steiner, Eiko and Garnet (will not call her Dagger) Sometimes I may exchange Garnet for Vivi but I like to have two white mages cos Necron is TOUGH

I make sure everyone has as full status protection as I can make it.
I put Zidane on High Tide and use his trance
I put Steiner on High tide and use his trance (I also make use of Climhazzard)
Eiko is useful for Curaga and Full Life but it is Holy that makes her super useful
Garnet I only use for back up Curaga

And if I use Vivi instead his -aga spells plus if I get Doomsday I can get Steiner to use Doomsday Sword.

I think I'm pretty much the same way. I played this game a bunch of times so I don't really stick with a specific team. First thing to do is put on as many status protection abilities as possible. I always have Auto-Regen for every character at this point too. I don't think I use High Tide for Steiner though, actually I'm not even sure about Zidane, but I do get Zidane in trance every time and usually win by spamming Grand Lethal. If Eiko's there, she's for healing and using Phoenix, Garnet, for healing and Summons. A pretty easy fight that makes you think it's harder than it is because of Grand Cross and KO's. Despite often having KO'd party members I don't think I've ever gotten a Game Over in this battle.

I tend to favor offense, so my team consists usually of some combination of Vivi, Steiner, Freya, Quina and Zidane. I usually drop Zidane because I'm happy to be able to finally remove him for once.

My favorite team is Zidane, Vivi, Eiko, and Quina. Summon Haste Carbuncle and have Quina use Mighty Guard and we're good to go.

Freya, Amarant, Quina, Dagger.

Freta uses Reis' Wind and Jumps. Amarant attacks and secondary heals. Quina uses Mighty Guard and then whatever spell is most powerful, Dagger heals and summons.

The game can be played and easily completed with just Zidane, Stiener, Dagger, and Vivi. However I usually level to 99, learn all pages of abilities, auto-haste, auto-regen, auto-raise.

Wow, now that's dedication. I just get to Level 61 or 2 (if I stayed on 60 my party would be vulnerable to level 5 death from deathguise, at least I think its deathguise who deals it)

I think I only did that one time. Shit takes a while, about 70 or 80 hours I think.

I would put one member in at a time and kill behemoths in a rift. Vivi was the hardest to do. Thank you EXP plus!

I had a run with:

Zidane - Overall main character and most leveled up.
Steiner - Strongest character.
Garnet - For healing and summoning purposes.
Vivi - For his black magic.

Ran through the last 3 major bosses with this lineup fairly easy.
