Hironobu Sakaguchi, currently of Mistwalker but we all know him as the father of Final Fantasy, is reportedly teaming up with Silicon Studio, who are responsible for the development of Bravely Default, to create a new game! And... that's about all we know.

The project is in its early stages, so we have no title, no info on the content, the specific genre, or even a platform, but Sakaguchi promises great gameplay, story, graphics and sound. Silicon Studios have recently been working on certain projects for the PS4, so it wouldn't be too far-fetched for this game to come out on that system.

Whatever this game will turn out to be, Sakaguchi and Silicon Studios are hoping to "provide the best experience for gamers around the world."

What do you think about this team-up? Are you excited to hear more? Let us know!

After how amazing Bravely Default turned out, I'm certainly looking forward to this.

Project Setsuna.
Bravely Second.
This title.

Are we finally going to be getting actual JRPGs again?

I just hope this isn't another mobile title or an Xbox exclusive.

Considering Silicon Studios track record, I's assume the game would be released on the 3DS. Sakaguchi has also said that he's actually interested in releasing future projects on the main consoles.

I wonder if this project is entirely new, or is it connected to one of the two projects Mistwalker has in the pipeline like that new IP they teased at the start of the year, or perhaps the Terra Battle console adaption they promised?
