Which type of fighting game do you prefer?

Love both ! But more on the 3D side of the fence as the Soul Calibur series Tekken and Tekken Tag are fantastic games.

Yeah, I've had fun playing both 2D and 3D. I rarely play them these days but the original Street Fighter 2 and Tekken 2 are my most played fighters. Much fun!

Slight edge to 3D, but the new MK is great.

It doesn't matter to me as long as the game gives me a lot of fun.
My preferences:
2D: Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom.
3D: SoulCalibur, Dead or Alive and Tekken.

Definitely 2D, I never found a 3D fighter I could really enjoy like I enjoy Street Fighter. Though I haven't been active in playing the genre for awhile.

I don't really have a preference. I play more 2D fighters than 3D, but that's mainly because there's not much competition in the 3D front. I only like Tekken, Soul Calibur, and Mortal Kombat Deception out of the main 3D fighters and for 2D the list consists of: Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Persona 4 Arena, King of Fighters XIII, Skullgirls, Killer Instinct, Super Smash Bros., and Marvel vs Capcom 1.

I voted 2d. I just like their style more than 3d overall. I feel 2d games have a more solid gameplay.
I lean towards 2D a bit more due to old school Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Fatal Fury. Though I still really like Soul Calibur, Tekken, Bloody Roar, and Evil Zone on the 3D side of things.
