So you've slain the beast. Saved the kingdom. Restored balance to the world. If you're a member of a party, long-term future career prospects are not exactly at the forefront of your mind.

But it should! You can't live off of the goodwill of the people forever. Bills still need to be paid; the tax collector favours none. That's why you'll have to hit the road again, joining an adventuring party as your day-to-day. But there's stiff competition. Yes, you may have defeated the triumvirate of doom, but someone else may have entered another dimension and slain the embodiment of death.

For the hiring adventuring party, there's plenty of worthy heroes, and what better way to weed out the weak from the strong by way of an application! This series will go through several needed positions to fill. Thief, Warrior, Black Mage... all are valuable additions to any company, and with your help, the best candidate will be chosen! Over the coming weeks, the employers will need your help to choose the best people for the job! Whoever is picked will be called up for a one-to-one interview!

The first role on offer is the White Mage. The White Mage is the glue of the party. Even the most careful warrior will require healing at some point! The ability to mend wounds and healing is important indeed, but who is right for the job? Is it the loyal Minwu, the driven Yuna or the motherly Rosa? You decide!

I would have to go with Minwu too. The guy is too cool for school.

Rosa. With her history of emotional support, she can help heal minds as well as bodies. The psychological and emotional wellbeing of an adventuring company is important too, after all. Plus, she can shoot people in the face with her arrows when healing isn't required.

Minwu is one of the most cool people out there who would totally help heal psychological wounds too. And you can teach him to shoot from a bow easily (I happen to know that first-hand ). So he wins

If it's not mentioned in the C.V...

If he wanted it to be taken into consideration, then he should have put in into his CV, shouldn't he? Blame Minwu, not Formy. :p

And for the sake of balance, I've decided not to assume Yuna has maxed out her Sphere Grid and could down Jecht's Final Aeon in one well-timed staff strike.

I'm not blaming Formy

Minwu's just too modest to brag about that. He's too good for this world

Unfortunately, being a special little snowflake does not guarantee you employment in today's highly competitive White Mage job market. :p

As it happens, being just that is a must in that position nowadays.

Yours or mine? :p By the way, the Pope totally looks like a White Mage in that outfit, don't you think?

Anyway, we both seem to be agreed that it's good for a White Mage to be versatile, as healing won't always be required. If Minwu had remembered to put on his CV that he could learn Archery, I probably would have chosen him. He seems the most qualified in regards to actual healing.

True true, but he is prone to heroic sacrifices, losing the squad a valuable healer. Because as they say: 'don't let the medic get killed'.

Fynn
02-29-2016, 02:35 PM
That was ONE TIME, and he did it to obtain the ULTIMATE MAGIC for the heroes. i'd say he gets a pass for that. He wouldn't throw his life away for just anything.

Are you saying that YOU'RE Minwu? :p Formy meant that you would blow Minwu's trumpet, meaning singing his praises, saying how good he is (sorry if you knew that and were just making a joke).

I sometimes regret I ever told you guys I was Polish because now you're treating me like someone who doesn't understand basic idioms :p

And since we're explaining jokes to each other, mine is that my previous username was The White Wizard of Fynn. So Minwu.

I noticed a couple of typos, that I should have realized earlier, but other than that this is great. What a unique idea.
