Master of Orion

Um, so, for those of you who don't know.

There is a little gem of a game from many years back called Master of Orion II, which I rate as the greatest grand strategy game of all time (better than all of the Civilization titles, even with DLC, in my opinion).

Master of Orion III, its sequel, was one of the worst sequels of all time, and a game I would never recommend anyone play, ever. I thought it had killed the series.

I was wrong.

As it turns out, Wargaming acquired the IP from Atari. And there's a new one in the works.

AND OH MY GOSH, THE VOICE ACTING CAST ALONE IS SO AMAZING!

I didn't even hear about this game until TotalBiscuit gave an overview of his thoughts during a general discussion video. Apparently it's shaping up very well so far. I am definitely looking forward to this. It's still in development, but it should be something for the strategy fans out there to enjoy.

Yeah, I heard this was coming out and I was super excited, since MoO2 is one of my favorite strategy games. :D I was pretty sad I didn't get to hear the voices for the Darloks in the video, but, I'd be lying if I pretended they were ever a particularly popular race. Then again, who ever played the Mrrshans anyway? :roll2

Well, everyone in MoO2 used custom races. But for designs I went Alkari or Psilons most of the time.
