I would like to know which game you first loved, what age you were and what system it was on.

Mine was Lemmings 2: The Tribes

I was 10

It was on the Amiga 600

I had many a happy time trying to figure out this complex game. I now have a SNES copy and....I still can't beat it but I enjoy what I can do with it. Always will :-)

Over to you....what was your first love?

Sonic 2, for the Sega Genesis. I would have been about 5. :)

It was my first game, and it is one I still find holds up extremely well. The stages were all wonderfully colorful and unique, the controls were spot on, the game was (generally) quite fair, and the bosses were a real challenge for someone completely new to the medium.

Ah that reminds me of a slight misunderstanding I had with my American Boyfriend Ayen. I had some idea Sega Genesis must be from the 80s as Ayen is a retro gamer. But during a conversation with him it dawned on me that we were actually talking about the Megadrive, which is what it is known as in PAL regions. Ahhhh, The Wonderful Pitfalls of Transatlantic Romance :-). Never used this system myself, graduated from Amiga to PS1, my first ever console :-)

I should probably get in the habit of calling it a Mega Drive, since that's what everyone else calls it. :p I wish I owned an Amiga growing up; it seems like it had a ton of great games. :D

The Amiga was indeed awesome. I generally used it for sports games as a kid though like Sensible Soccer and Championship Manager.

The first game I loved though was probably Chuckie Egg on the ZX Spectrum. Yes I'm old, leave me alone :colbert:

Hard to say as I don't quite remember... but I think it has to be Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back on the PSX.

Ayen played the Megadrive because he had a much older brother to teach him. My Ayen is only 26 :-). Its funny how we came to gaming in the same year: 1994. I was 10 and he was 5 ( :-o). I can see from this he was always destined to be a gaming critic :-)

And yes, I liked the Amiga Games :-)

Bubble Bobble on the Amiga. I used to play it for hours on end when I was really young.

It was either Pac-Man, Q*Bert, Space Invaders or Centipede on the Atari 5200.
