I like them both a lot but I prefer Yuna

Yuna has the infinitely better outfit.

In terms of outfit and story, I'd go with Yuna. She's one of my favourite FF characters.

But overall I feel that Garnet is a character that develops a lot more over the course of the game than Yuna does, so for that reason I give Garnet my vote.

I have to give my vote to Garnet, FFIX is my favorite in the series and Yuna is alright but Square Enix released FFX-2 which caused to lose some respect for Yuna and FFX in general. It's just Final Fantasy: Charlie's Angels Edition which is just shameless, I held that opinion before I grew up and started going to church.

I don't really like either of them to be honest. They definitely rank towards the bottom of characters I like from their respective games. I may like Garnet a little more because she's not thrown in my face quite as often but yeah... Rydia is a better and more interesting Summoner than either, and Minwu and Rosa are better White Mages.

They're very different characters, honestly. IX is most definitely Garnet's story while you could argue X was justas much Yuna's as Tidus'. I mean, did Garnet ever have a super awesome moment like Yuna did with Yunalesca? It wasn't Tidus saying "no, screw you and your traditions!" It was Yuna.

Garnet really never had anything like that. The one time she tried to mouth off to the villain, Kuja just laughed in her face.

Overall, Garnet is handled like a delicate flower while Yuna is treated much more respectfully.

Yuna was manipulated into marrying Seymour though ? Seymour just saw her as a mere puppet to use and played with her until she was in a wedding dress, and was later abducted and forced to marry. Yuna is a brave and solid character, but some characters do see her as just a naive girl that can be broken.

Garnet does have a incredible moment, where she overcomes her depression, cuts her hair symbolizing that she's cutting off the past and stands strong and is ready to overcome Kuja.
