I owe much to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. I loved retro music before it - and in fact, the commercial of VC WITH "i Ran" playing was just one more reason I wanted it so badly back in the day - but I never would have known names and groups without it. It introduced me to Laura Branigan and it also introduced me to Blondie.
I haven't thought about them in too long. It's shameful.
How about you all? Blondie was a huge hit here in the States but I always got the feeling their longest-lasting impact was overseas in Europe.
Also my favorite song of theirs is Call Me but I love that video and wanted to share it. That hair, that outfit, that goddam goddess.
