67516Meet the main villain for Star Ocean V: Integrity and Faithlessness, Del Soule. Square Enix gave us a look (http://www.4gamer.net/games/298/G029832/20160302025/)at the new villain, some dungeons, the transporter system, and more!

Del Soule (CV: Kazuya Nakai)
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Weapon: Sword
Origin: Kingdom of Tei’kur, Planet Faykreed
Description: Del Soule is the brave general of the Trei’kur army. He’s skilled with the sword, but he’s also specializes in fire attacks as a Signeturgy knight. He has a barbaric personality, and won’t hesitate to do any brutal acts in order to get things done, such as holding a small child like Relia hostage. His markings glow red when using fire Signeturgy.

We'll end up facing Del Soule when Victor and the Resulia army go on to fight in the invasion of East Trei’kur.

Above is the new dungeon, "Trei’kur Execution Tower." Surprise on the name, the location used to be used as an area for executions but is now a base camp for soilders and is located in the northwestern parts of East Trei'kur.

Next is the “Mysterious Research Facility.” Yup, You guessed it, it's a research facility where you’ll see various devices developed from technology and liquid-filled glass tubes with some sort of living creatures inside them. I'm sure we'll figure out what is being done to those poor creatures.

Now, transportation is usually the biggest issue with many RPGs. With such large worlds, you have to get around it quicker than the normal walking speed for any extra addons that usually come in RPGs. Star Ocean V has solved their issue with a teleportation system. You'll be able to use the “Transporter” from the Charles de Gaulle warp room to any place you’ve been to before. You'll be able to use your communication devices to send yourself back to Charles de Gaulle so at any time you can go back there and move on to a another location as you wish, as long as you've already been their before!

By managing to hit enemies before they notice you, it’ll set you up with a preemptive attack called “Advantage Attack,” and if they get you first it starts out as a “Surprise Attack,” with both their advantages and disadvantages. Starting with an Advantage Attack temporarily increases your ATK (physical attack) and INT (mind attack).

67527

On the other hand, starting out with a Surprise Attack will temporarily lower your DEF (physical defense).

We also learned a bit about Miki’s Signeturgy. She's got several attacks shown off:

Explosion: Brings down a fireball from above and causes a giant explosion. Since the explosion has such range, it’s possible to do multiple hits at once.

67529

Resurrection: Restores an incapacitated ally and recovers all of their health.

67530

Sunshine: Drops numerous rays of lights from above to hit multiple targets. It also has an effect that lowers enemy INT.

We also got a look at Anne's Battle features. Here we have:

Cannon Blaze (Reserve Rush): She starts by hitting an opponent upward with her palms then follows up with an energy wave attack.

67533

Might Discharge (Guard Counter): She forms a ball of energy and blasts it towards enemies. This can also be used to escape when surrounded by enemies or to start up a combo.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness comes out in Japan on March 31st for both PS3 and PS4 and will be available later in the West in 2016. What do you think about the villain and these new attacks? Are you liking the idea of a transporter to get you around?

His design feels a bit Albel-ish to me.
