Today is the birthday of the much beloved classic, Chrono Trigger! Widely regarded as one of the best RPG's of all times, this game can appeal to fans old and new and has obviously stood the test of time. Speaking of time, this game follows our heroes as they travel through it, visiting both the distant past and the far off future. It originally came out on the Super Nintendo and has since been remade for the Nintendo DS.

My own first experience with the game came just a few short years ago on the Nintendo DS. Being a huge RPG fan, I wanted to try out this classic and see what I thought of it. It didn't take long before I fell in love with this game. The story was interesting, serious while managing to not take itself too seriously. There was a good variety of likeable characters ranging from a robot to a frog man, and battles were fun and engaging.

This is a game that could be great for long-time RPG veterans, or even newcomers who are interested in the genre. While it doesn't have the graphics of a Triple A PS4 title (obviously), it still has some beautiful and wondrous locations for the player to explore. It also has one of the best video game soundtracks in my opinion with a ton of amazing songs. To top it all off, the game has several endings which just adds to the replayability (not that you needed another reason to play it again).

I got it basically on release on the SNES. I remember someone saying Chrono never talks does he. I had never noticed to that point. Also this was the start of the New Game + which we all know and love.
