Final Fantasy XV Rumored to Release on Sep 30

According to sources from Gematsu (http://gematsu.com/2016/03/rumor-final-fantasy-xv-launches-september-30), Final Fantasy XV will be seeing a worldwide release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 30th of this year. As you may already be aware, Square Enix is planning to announce the release date at the "Uncovered" event at the end of this month. We will be getting an official confirmation when the March event arrives on Wednesday March 30th.

Sept.30 sounds pretty reasonable actually. If the reviews and word-of-mouth for the game are good, it will have enough time to really do well in sales for the holiday season.

I actually hope they will release it earlier, though multiple solid sources stated it will be the 30th September.

I also still have high hopes for a Limited Edition PS4 Final Fantasy XV Bundle, with a great skin on it.

This sounds about right to me. This is holiday season yet it's not directly competing with the big games like Call of Duty etc.... in October/November. SE will want to get it out before October at the latest I'd imagine.

That's what I was thinking as well. I was hesitant at first because September 30th is on a Friday, and only PAL games usually release on Friday's; not NA or JAP versions. However, I did hear and see that this is probably going to be a worldwide simultaneous release, so that will be nice that we can all be on level playing field as fans.

That sounds possible, and I really hope it's true, because I was expecting something much later than that, closer to Christmas. Regardless of what the actual date turns out to be, I'm going to be filled with joy when I finally hear it straight from the horse's mouth.

It's actually still hard to believe to me, that I'll actually be sitting and playing Final Fantasy XV in no more than eight months.

Release date is now confirmed. Someone at Gamespot screwed up. They made a video announcing the release date public.

They have since made it private, but someone created a back up.

Yeah, unless someone at GameSpot was going off the rumor like everyone else, they've basically confirmed it to be true.

I wonder how much 'game' will be in the new demo. Like, is this going to be good for playing with the updated battle system? Or is it gonna be all story?

I'm willing to guess it's gonna be somewhat akin to Episode Duscae, which is to say... none of it will be in the main game.

It's possible it was formerly part of the game, but got scratched from the final product, but still being complete, and gives people a chance to try out a more finalized version of what the game will be like. It's a nice peace offering for the ten year wait.

Or maybe it is just a small little bit taken out of the game. Who knows.

I'm fairly certain you're right. The bits and pieces I've found match up to that.

Also fairly certain now that it's not just gonna be a walking simulator, there will be actual combat and stuff. Looking forward to it.

From the tidbits that are flying around the rumor mill, it's going to be a prequel to the game, with stuff that is actually relevant and canonical but isn't in the game itself (like what Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeros was to The Phantom Pain).

I suppose we'll just have to wait a few more hours to see if that's true.
