I have an inordinate amount of video game music on my iPod, which I listen to. It gets rather sad when I have two or three different versions of the same song, due to all the lovely people on YouTube and elsewhere who like to cover songs.

Updating older music with fresh instruments or a new style is really cool, and I'm a sucker for orchestral renditions of classic pieces.

Final Fantasy's Distant Worlds (https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=distant+worlds&oq=distant+worlds&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60l3j69i65l2.1286j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#q=Nobuo+Uematsu+Distant+Worlds:+music+from+FINAL+FANTASY&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAONgecToyi3w8sc9YSmbSWtOXmM04-IKzsgvd80rySypFNLgYoOy5Lj4pLj0c_UNjLPSzS3LNBikeLiQ-DwAfRwr3UoAAAA) is an obvious example, but there's a surprising amount of individuals with a talent for string or voice who can put together some very nice-sounding tracks.

Phoenix Wright has a pretty large fanbase, so some of my covers are from that. I like Persona, and that has a following. But yeah, what sort of covers have really interested you?

Look up P4 Reincarnation and the Phoenix Wright Meets Jazz/Orchestra for some "official" covers, I suppose you could call them.

One of the earlier and greatest YouTube drum covers I ever saw.

Yeah, I'd say so. If it isn't the 'original', then it's a cover.

Not exactly covers since they're the actual composers for Square Enix, but I love The Black Mages. I wish they wouldn't have disbanded.

The MATERIA and SUCCESSOR remixes of FF7 and FF8 songs are a mixed bag, honestly. There are awesome songs in there, and also terrible techno remixes.

But I suppose there is something for everyone, so check it out.

I listen to a lot, but at the moment I only feel like linking you to Kirby's Dream Band (https://kirbysdreamband.bandcamp.com/album/the-pink-album) stuff. That Chrono Trigger track...

You can get the Pink Album for free.

Man, as much as I enjoy Touhou music I've never found a remix that could quite match up to the bliss of the originals blaring into your ears as you dodge nonstop bullets.

That remix of Yuyuko's theme is pretty sweet though.

Time for some self promotion!

My stuff isn't as good quality as a lot that's been shared here, but hopefully someone enjoys it. I'm currently in the process of working on more Final Fantasy songs (Melodies of Life, Tantalus' Theme, Theme of Love, to name a few). I want to incorporate more of my girlfriend's beautiful voice, so maybe more video game ballads in the future. :D

I shamelessly have Sight of Spira on my iPod. It's arguably better than the original. I loved the raw guitar sound.

Those of you who like metal would like RichaadEB. Him and another fellow (Ace Waters) actually put out an officially licensed Undertale album.

But he does excellent covers in general. Here's another two that I enjoy.
