Top 5 Final Fantasy games are:

5: Final Fantasy VIII. Great game that tried and experimented with many new things.

4: Final Fantasy IV. Introduced us to the dragoons class and make ground breaking way in the way JRPG's told their story.

3: Final Fantasy X. Teach us how to Blitz... Stay away from the Summoner!

2. Final Fantasy Tatics. If you have never played this game you are missing out on one of the Best Games ever made

1 Final Fantasy VI. Honestly It was a great game which introduced many idea's that still get used today.

5. Final Fantasy IX - amazing return to the series' roots with some fantastic characters and really inspiring world design

4. Final Fantasy VI - one of the most involved stories in the series, a great cast with unique gameplay, and I just loved the mood whiplash

3. Final Fantasy Tactics - awesome job system, very mature storyline

2. Final Fantasy XII - story is way ahead of its time, characters are subtle and unique for the genre, combat system is incredibly fun and the world is so beautiful

1. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - my introduction to Ivalice, amazing job system that takes advantage of the unique races, and a very meaningful story that is great for all ages and there's just more to it every time I sit down to analyze it

I could've SWORN I did this recently... ... RIGHT but that thread was for females only. Okay sure, a thread for everyone, that works!

Gonna copy what I said from over there though:

1. FFTA - Perfect, beautiful, and the greatest job system of all time. IMO this is not only the greatest FF ever made but one of the greatest games ever made.

2. FFTA 2 - Same as the above. I peg it slightly lower because I feel like the game starts to go overboard with jobs and there are so many and you can't fit them all into your clan's members like you want to. But it's still VERY good.

3. FFX - Super fun battle system, just a fun all around game, I smile just thinking about it. It's just an utter joy to play.

4. FFII - Super underrated, super fun.

5. FFVII - cause why not. The classic with the classic cast of characters.

I only have a top 3:
1. Final Fantasy XV - The wait is finally coming to an end this year!!!!
2. Final Fantasy XIII - Gorgeous graphics, really strategic gameplay, and a story that I enjoyed for the most part
3. Final Fantasy VIII - My first FF title and one that took many years for me to master. Once I understood the junction system, the game became a cake walk. This is one of the few games where paying attention to the tutorials really helped for me.
4. Final Fantasy XIII: LR - Great combat system, but very lackluster story on the overall imo.
5. Final Fantsy X-2 - One of my favorite battle systems out of the system. The story confused the living hell out of me though.
