Final Fantasy XV Box Art Revealed

The box art for Final Fantasy XV were revealed yesterday and in my opinion it's one of the best in the series. The image conveys the road trip theme of the game and the color coordination is implemented well, going froma dark blue, easing into a light, and transferring into the dusty brown of the desert. The chocobo crossing sign off to the right is also a nice touch. Here's also the box art for the deluxe edition designed by Yoshitaka Amano.

Funnily enough, the standard box-art is better than the deluxe edition. :p

But no, I really like the standard box-art. It gives a sense of camaraderie, of 'doing it together'. I like it. And the colours work as well.

As non-white background covers go, this one is very good. I still prefer the white background though, for tradition's sake.

Oh man I love this box art I am so hyped. I want to go on a road trip with my bros and watch out for chocobos :love: oh man I hope that's the entire game. I hope it's like 60 hours of shooting the breeze as you drive across the country and take selfies with cactuars. This is all I want. Give me this Squeenix.

I'm actually going to buy the game twice, once to get the deluxe edition and then I also want the standard edition with the white background so I can sit it next to all my others.

Well except XIII cause they forced Lightning on the cover :(

I've questioned SE and the FFXV pages on twitter about it. No answer though. If others do the same - It could force them to answer this question.

The thing is, that's also the Japanese box art. And Europe usually had the same art as Japan. So

This is from the Aussie EB Games website (our Game Stop) Looks pretty official with the Day One Edition header. I could totally deal with this being the cover. Black background makes sense with it's history of being Versus XIII.

Is it just the Japanese boxart? I was hoping the West would get the same art since it is truly beautiful. And yes, It's very different from previous entries. But that's what I love about it.

Not to me. I think every bit of it is gorgeous. Amano's XV artwork is just stellar so far. I love how there's so much black and white contrast with subtle colors. I don't think there's ever been FF art by him with so much dark undertones and I love it, it looks so great.
