I know everybody's still thinking about FFXV after the Uncovered event, but there's one game that is coming out much sooner - Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ. And you'll be able to try it as early as Thursday, April 7th - that's tomorrow! Well, as long as you live in North America and have an iOS or Android device.

The official Square-Enix blog recently announced (http://na.square-enix.com/us/blog/kingdom-hearts-unchained-x-coming-north-america) that the localized version of this mobile game is now coming out in the West. The game focuses on a group of Keyblade weilders long before the events of Birth By Sleep - before the mythical Keyblade War. You play a customized player avatar and get to take part in adventures across multiple words, joining factions, and interacting with other players. Tetsuya Nomura has stated that, while the story is integral to the events of Sora's adventure, it can be experienced to its fullest even if going in blind, due to how detached it is from the rest of the series timeline-wise.

No word as of yet on a European release, though considering SE's current trend regarding Mobile releases, I think it is sage to assume us Old Continent-dwellers will get access to this game soon enough.

Are you excited for Unchained χ? Will you be downloading it tomorrow? Let us know!

Yeah... Is there a way we could, like, hack our iPhones so they think we're 'Murrican?

I also don't have an iOS device, I guess, but that is neither here nor there.

I hope they expand soon.

Yeah, considering nearly all of their mobile releases come out on both iOS and android at one point or another, I think all that's left for us is to wait

Then again, we never got FF Airborne Brigade, did we :stare:

Also don't live in America so I guess I have to hope this makes its way to my region. If it does though I'll be all over this.

The SE article says it's on Android too! Only one more stumbling block to go.

Well there you go! Must have added it, because I could have sworn it only said iOS yesterday

That's not really a bad thing, though.

I think Airborne Brigade was pretty okay, actually. All the Bravest was the terrible one, and of course, that one we got

Have you tried using a gun as a stylus?

That's silly. The gun holds the stylus

also going to get this probably after classes tonight.

I will be honest that I am surprised to find myself enjoying this a bit. I am no fan of mobile games normally. But I've only been playing for a couple hours and am already tiring out. So better than most of mobile, but still not for me.

Look like Australia is a go now too :monster:

I saw a list on their Twitter feed with 100+ countries now available.

Is this like Record Keeper in that it requires a constant Internet connection to play?

Yeah, you need to be connected to the Internet to play. A component of the battle system is sharing medals with other players.

Well that's dumb

Anyway, started it and it's pretty cool

Actually really enjoying it.

Not sure how to add people on it but my character is Mayrissa in the Vulpines (I think)

I am Sheetle, also in the Fox one. I played until it allowed me to stop, but it's pretty cool!

I'm in Vulpes, too. It's definitely the most popular of the unions

As far as I understand, you don't have a traditional friends list. You can form a party with people who are in the same Union as you. I think you can either look them up by their user ID or their ranking, but I'm not sure how to do that yet. Also, you can only be in one party.

So judging by the union choices in this thread so far, here's what you need to do to play with other EoFFers:

You need to be in Vulpes, the fox/wolf. One of us has to start a Party, which can be found in the games "Other" menu. Then, people would have to post their user ID here so the party leader can add them.

Being in a party has 3 benefits I know of:

1. There's a chat box on the home page where your party can talk

2. When you go on missions, you have access to your party members best medals to use in battle. If you go to your medal menu and hit "share" on your best medal, players from around the world will be able to use it. Being in a party ensures that your friends medal always show up in the list you choose from.

3. You occasionally run into "raid bosses" that show up on the missions menu. If you lose to them, your party members who are online get a notification saying they can help fight the boss.

It's a lot to take in, but once you get a feel for the game and get used to the menus, a lot more of the stuff in this post will make sense.

As for me, I was randomly given a party request from a stranger. It's worked out well for me so far and having the medals of top players is a definite benefit. I've made friends out of it, as well.

Ill be happy to answer any questions.

I went ahead and asked my party if I could give them the IDs of people who joined at the EU launch :monster:

I don't even know if they visit FF forums, but they're nice enough people and their best medals are worth 8000+ damage.

So if you're in Vulpes and get a request from Lost Wielders, feel free to accept even if only to get a feel for the party system.
