Ohey what are you making today for your victuals? I don't cook as often as I used to because of work, but today I'm making a ham, pan roasted new potatoes and green beans.

And chocolate chip banana bread. :greenie:

Also I feel like this thread might already exist. But I couldn't find it. I didn't look real hard though.

I am making nothing, because I am still travelling. However, Spuuky has been given shopping requests so that tomorrow I can make green juice, kale/tempeh salad, and lentil soup.

Tonight, I make.. nothing! I have a dance class tonight, so Hubs is partaking in the leftovers from Saturday night, when we made wayyyyyy too much food for our game night.

Nothing tonight, but I had some of the baked potato style salad I made over the weekend for lunch.

Red potatoes, sour cream, fresh dill, bacon, and diced radish lightly cooked in the bacon grease.

Man both of those things sound really amazing. Much better than yellow potato salad. Yuck.

Tonight I made a quiche! For a potluck at work tomorrow. I hope it doesn't suck

Last night I made some veggie bolognese with Quorn mince. Actually wasn't the grossest thing ever and was pretty nice. Plus, no animals died in the making of said bolognese so win win.

Technically I'm making nothing tonight but I am buying a microwaveable spaghetti carbonara for MissH and a microwaveable seafood paella for myself.

Lots of animals died in the making of said paella.

Salmon fillet with some spinach and broccoli. DK has previously described this as the dish of a peasant; he is wrong :colbert:

Quiche is kind of like casserole to me, I just throw a bunch of things I like in there. This one had guryere, cheddar, spinach and bacon. Everyone at work liked it! Including me.

DK doesn't know things, obviously. That sounds great.

I had spaghetti tonight, but there's some leftover chicken carbonara from last night (idk why we did pastas two nights in a row) that I might still be hungry enough to eat. I am a hungry girl today.

Earlier I made some braised beef ( for stew) in red wine vinegar and it came out real tender, rich and yummy. I had it over mashed potatoes. But I think I like it better if cooked with short ribs. Wished I had some red wine to accompany my succulent meal with but had some grapefruit sparkling water instead.

Yesterday I made cashew cheese in addition to the stuff mentioned a couple of posts ago. Tomorrow I will probably make green rice, portobello burgers, and tempeh/green beans. I'm on my third bunch of kale for the week, I wish we had a garden!

Whole Foods had a sale on jumbo shrimp. My wife has been making shrimp tacos every other day for a week. Nothing short of fucking amazing. Home made tortillas and pico de gallo, slice of avocado. Heavenly.

This morning I made black bean brownies, this evening Spuuky is making falafel and I am making Thai pumpkin soup. I also ate an entire bunch of kale for breakfast. These past few months I've really missed my kitchen setup, I guess I'm taking it back in full force :D

What are black beam brownies and how do they come to be? Brownies and black beans are two of my favourite things, so I am intrigued.

I was skeptical, but this (http://minimalistbaker.com/refined-sugar-free-black-bean-brownies/) is going to be my go-to brownie recipe from now on! I didn't bother with the date topping or the coconut, and I used walnuts in place of pecans.

Oh I never saw this thread!!! :greenie:

Yesterday I made eggs Benedict with coffee bean-crusted NY strip steaks instead of Canadian Bacon. I called it a red eye :greenie:. For the side, I made some fried green tomatoes. :greenie:

Then for dinner, I whipped up some sort of curried sweet potato soup. :greenie: it was pretty good. I think next time I want to try it with coconut milk.

For breakfast I'm planning to make sausage biscuits and gravy. :greenie: then for dinner I may make chicken wings. :greenie: I have lots of chicken parts in the freezer.

Today I stir fryed some beef and broccoli with some seasonings, soy sauce, fire oil, and garlic. Then with the liquids in the pan I added some flour and honey to thicken it up and sweeten it a bit and poured that over it. It was delicious!

Today I had takeout due to just being extreamly busy, however tomorrow will be a whole chicken that will last me 2 days. Bought 5 free roam chickens from a local farm. (In the summer they sell great fresh local grown veggies) on the third day I boil the bones to,make homemade soup.

I've not been eating terribly great due to late nights and essay writing stress. But on the weekend, the majority of my workload will be released off of me and I'm planning on cooking something special for me and Mr. Carny!

I'm open for suggestions, by the way.

I'm in a pumped mood so that starvation feeling is pretty imminent.

So.....I think I'm about to make myself a nice chicken meat substitute sandwich with a dollop of cranberry sauce (turkey schmurkey)

And if i wasnt in my parents house I'd help myself to some succulent real chicken my mum doesnt have the time to cook creatively enough for my high standards.

I'm making these yummy breakfast tacos.

Doing some with this vegan breakfast sausage I found and decided to buy (I was stoned), eggs, roasted & chopped orange and red bell pepper, chopped red onion, bacon, and pepper jack cheese on flour tortillas.

And then I'm doing scrambled eggs with the same veggies and chopped up Korean (I guess?) short rib steak (that kind that looks like thick bacon but it's beef and has those short bones on one side), sauteed green onion, diced tomato, and queso cotija on corn tortillas.

Nommynomnom.
