... that you can catch oglops on the Conde Petie mountain path and give them to the hungry boy in the village in exchange for Oglop cards? I swear I discover something new every time I play this game.

I also caught several new Stiltzkin letters I haven't seen before, for example when you're finished with Pinnacle Rocks and go back to the moogle instead of jumping off the cliff. :D

I feel like Ito loves putting in these little touches into his titles. IX especially seems to be just filled to the brim with little extras and easy to miss sidequests and shout outs.

Yes that is a nice touch. I may decide to skip these on this playthrough as I'm more focused on making Freya powerful for the first time ever.

I'm on the mountain path right now. Exactly how do you catch them? I've walked near some and they just walk away.

They did that to me too. When I got there I had half a mind to try it. I kinda just shrugged it off though, in favour of whacking some DracoZombies
