Is it possible to get higher than 8?

In all the years I've played this game, I've never gotten past 8. And I grew up playing Mario Party, so I'm not exactly a scrub when it comes to spinning joysticks (enter sex joke).

Has anyone get gotten higher than that?

On Ultima? You'd be lucky to get many at all.

Honestly, Lulu's overdrive was one of the weakest. if the spells were at full strength it'd be something else, but by the late-game it's honestly more trouble than it's worth.

I think it's soft-capped based on her magic stat or something, because when I've tried doing something like Fire in endgame, it's a lot easier to get it pretty high. When I was playing recently on my emulated version, though, even when I used slowdown to spin inhumanly fast, it would quickly reach a limit that it would refuse to pass, so I don't think it is possible with many of these spells.

Pretty sure it's not too hard to get the first spells to 9. It really is underpowered in either case.

I just use, what is it called, 'Entrust', to transfer Lulu's overdrive over to someone who has a better overdrive, like Tidus or Wakka.

As awesome as Lulu is. It'd be cool to see that she had more Overdrive choices to go from.

I've never gotten past 7 myself. I agree, her overdrive is pretty weak and more of a hassle than useful. I love her as a character though.
