Yes, the game has been out in Japan for a while now.

Definitely getting it Day 1. Pity there's not going to be a Vita localization. I understand the system has failed and been abandoned, but I'd love another handheld RPG (though I'm definitely getting the Steam version either way).

This is exactly the type of game Square should be making. Looks excellent.

Oh gawd! Hell yeah I'm excited for this one!

Hope it turns into a serie as stated in another website.
I'm just disappointed of getting it as digital version.
Why am I not feeling this as hard as so many people here? Have I died inside and not noticed?

It's the only possible explanation, yes
Oh man.
I need to host a funeral now. Luckily, there's like five funeral homes around my work, so at least I won't waste too much time

I'm with Fynn, to be honest. Based on the description of the general plot, it sounds so much like FFX.
Granted, it does look like this is FFX done correctly :p
I'm still really eager to play it and it's probably day-1 for me. I'm just not getting the whole "second coming" vibe everyone else seems to be getting

Eh, yes and no. It doesn't quite have that vibe for me (the way Bravely Default did). But I think part of that is just the tone of this piece. But I'm sure I'm going to get it immediately, I'm pretty sure I'll love it, and I think it's a great first step for the developer.

I wouldn't say it's the "second coming", just something new and a possible fresh start for some developers. Tokyo RPG Factory isn't even really a true part of Squenix so I doubt it will have much impact on their projects.

I am ridiculously excited for this game. One of my most anticipated JRPGs in a long time. (There's a reason I've been playing mostly PS2 era and earlier games recently...)
