Probably should've just made slimes their own category because they take up most of the list. I've only played two Dragon games so far and I think Arch Demons are my favorite.

But lumping all slimes togerther would defeat the purpose of all their distinct designs and personalities. Nope, multiple slimes is the way to go in this poll. You can't have a DQ game without a large variety of slimes.

I voted Sabercat, but on further reflection I prefer the Slime Knight. It's just so silly: how could a slime possibly make a good mount? And why are the slimes and the knights working together?

Well, one Healslime became human in canon (http://dragonquest.wikia.com/wiki/Healie), but it's never explained how. Dragon Quest is just whimsical like that.

All of them? My very favorite is probably the Metal Babble, though. Especially before it was relocalized.
