Do you enjoy games a la FFX-2 where the characters banter and say things, or do you prefer they stay silent?

It is done well very, very rarely

As long as it doesnt pause the combat and the comments are non-repetetive, a remark here or there doesnt bother me too much.

I generally find it annoying. Usually because it's always repetitive.

Which doesn't mean I can't be critical of certain aspects :colbert:

While done better than in s lot of cases, the banter in Xenoblade is definitely annoying at times

I quit playing Persona 4 because it got on my nerves so much. I never even completed that first dungeon. Ugh that teddy bear thing calling me sensei all the time UGH

OH MAN OVERWATCH. You'll hear screaming ultimates and ugh. You kind of HAVE to have the audio turned up so you can be aware of them. So I can't game with music.

I love it. After playing games like Persona 4 and Xenoblade, other games seem so quiet.

As long as each attack has several different voice clips for each character that can use it, i'm fine with it. 2 is the minimum, 3-4 is good.

Aw, too bad you didn't stick around! He is later replaced by Rise whose voice is sweet as honey

I liked how it was done in FFXIII, where they occasionally said things specific to the character they were talking to, such as when they got healed/buffed. That was neat.
