http://home.eyesonff.com/images/eoff_smilies//icon2.gif Help, I don't know who to nominate!

This can often be a problem. With fifty whole awards to nominate for, it can be a tricky task to come up with good nominees. What's the best creative piece? Who's the most stylish? What's a rum ham (http://www.instructables.com/id/Making-a-Rum-Ham/)?

That's where this thread comes in!

Through my guidance - and the assistance of others - noteworthy people, threads, creative pieces etc. will be brought to you attention. Whether that's scavenging Relm's Studio or exploring the murky depths of the Final Fantasy sub-forums, hidden gems of nominees will shine out!

http://home.eyesonff.com/images/eoff_smilies//icon2.gif A rum ham sounds... disgusting

And how! If you're still confused about where to look or what sort of things you should be looking for, consider these pointers and see if that won't help jog your memory:

Win a Ciddie for the very first time #49 - Check this thread again shortly for a full list of previous Ciddie winners, reducing the amount of research required for this award by a full 95%!
Be the next staff member #48 - For somewhat obvious reasons, they cannot be a current staff member. Check this link (http://home.eyesonff.com/showgroups.php) out for details on all staff!
Still be pumped about FFXV #47 - Good places to look for members with bro-trip fantasies include the entire (http://home.eyesonff.com/forumdisplay.php/146-Final-Fantasy-XV) FFXV sub-forum, but look especially for E3 coverage for more (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167655-E3-2016-Final-Fantasy-XV-Regalia-Type-F-Gameplay-Video) recent (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167638-E3-2016-Final-Fantasy-XV-Titan-Boss-Demo) lessons (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167642-E3-2016-Final-Fantasy-XV-VR-Experience!) in fanboyism.
Build Princess Zelda out of sand... #46 - There's been (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/165576-The-Legend-of-Zelda-Series) a lot (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167644-The-Legend-of-Zelda-Breath-of-the-Wild) of coverage of the Zelda games recently. Check the thread and discover who has the hots for our Princess.
Play Heavensward instead of going to the beach #44 - The relevant sub-forum (http://home.eyesonff.com/forumdisplay.php/115-Final-Fantasy-XIV-Heavensward) is an obvious place to start. Look also for those who really (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167406-Which-vacation-would-you-take) really (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167407-Do-You-Enjoy-A-Nice-Rainy-Day) hate (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167656-Do-you-have-Hayfever) the sun (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167466-The-Bane-of-Summer-Sunburn) - like me!
Most Excellent Couple #30 - Like #49, this one will have a list of couples posted in this thread soon. Stay tuned!
Total Creative Cruncher #10 - This award goes to the member who has been the most creative person in the last six months. This includes short stories (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/165081-NEW-Writing-Prompts), music (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/166834-arcade-racing-music), poems (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167348-Genderless), fan fiction (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167505-Final-Fantasy-Tactics-Random-Waltz-(WARNING-Ramza-Alma-pairing)), painting (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/147682-Pete-s-paintings-thread!), drawing (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167756-Lyndis-Art-Thread), sketching (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167315-Fynn-s-Character-Art), digital painting (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167493-Freya-s-Digital-Painting-Thread-Painting-is-Haaaard), signature making, even plushie design (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167302-Harmonixer-s-Plushie-Thread). There are separate awards for Best Writer and Best Artist, so maybe your nominees could be those who do well in both mediums?
Gnarliest Creative Piece #09 - This is the best individual piece. What piece of art or writing really struck you the most? What singular piece of creativity was breathtaking? The links above in #10 go to several threads in the creative forums for inspiration. No doubt more people will post in FYC as well!
Gnarliest Writer and Best Artist #07/#06 - To answer these questions, the best thing to do is read or observe their creativity. Spend an afternoon or an evening reading, looking, reflecting. Whose writing moved you the most? Which artist had the best technique or meaning behind their work? Which musician threw down the sickest waves? You catch my drift. If you don't have that sort of time, maybe read what others have said about their work. First-hand experience is still best though.
Gnarliest Newbie #04 - No doubt people will be offering up suggestions in the thread, but remember - their join date must be either 2015 or 2016.
Gnarliest Veteran #03 - This is any non-staff member who joined prior to 2015.

http://home.eyesonff.com/images/eoff_smilies//icon2.gif Oh, I have a suggestion for consideration!

That's what this thread is about! I can give pointers and signpost, but it is the EoFF members who have an ear close to the ground and can give even greater insight. That, and they can be as completely biased as the want!

If you've thought of a particularly funny thread, or believe that a certain member is underrated and deserves more attention and respect, then say so! The Ciddies are best when every thread is up for consideration, every member is remembered and considered. Don't leave those ideas laying around, forgotten. Shout about them here, and bring them for our consideration!

Nominations Thursday June 30th, 1PM EDT
Don't forget!

Recommendations for Gnarliest Creative Piece:
Tiger cub drawing (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167677-Tiger-cub-drawing?p=3620520#post3620520)
Most realistic plushie ever (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167302-Harmonixer-s-Plushie-Thread?p=3613519#post3613519)
Colored Vincent (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167756-Lyndis-Art-Thread?p=3621883&viewfull=1#post3621883)

Midgar Mist for Best Newbie, she's been consistently active for the past six months.

And of course vote for me as MLT Build Princess Zelda out of sand. With my sand Zelda I promise lower taxes for Hyrule, a stronger defense against threats across the land, more opportunities for the low and middle class to work, and tighter immigration for dem nasty Gerudos. Also, if you don't vote for me, Ganondorf will rule over Hyrule and I'm sure you all don't want that.

For creative peace, perhaps consider this poem!
http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167421-Pumpkin-s-Short-Writings?p=3615772&viewfull=1#post3615772

It's not the best written thing by any means, but it's about a serious transition for myself and I put a lot of heart in to it.

Hardest worker, Fynn and Freya have done awesome jobs as editors, and Shauna is always on the ball with her CK game!

Most Underrated, Karifean! Super nice person, very generous, a lot of fun to talk to.

Consider this (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/164357-Bauer-Island-(7-part-story))

And you can keep an eye on this (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/167558-Fynn-s-Short-Stories) - it's empty so far, but should be updated several times during the Ciddies, I think :p

Also, we had two story contest over the last year - take a look at our Halloween Contest (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/164691-Spooky-Story-Contest!-Vote-for-your-favorite-story!) and Valentine's Day Contest (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/166060-Lovey-Dovey-Contest!-Vote-for-your-favorite-story!) to check out some pretty unique stories and poems - some from people who don't normally contribute to Timber Maniacs too often! Just make sure you vote for the actual authors, and not the host posting all the stories - the reveals are usually given later on in the thread.

And consider Pumpkin and Freys for most hardworking - they've both been doing incredible amounts of work in the editing department!

Now that I'm no longer bound from opening post impartiality, please consider Mr. Carnelian for Best Newbie. He's been active and fun since he joined up last year, and has come second twice in winning Best Newbie. It'd be a shame - nigh on embarrassing - for him to not win Best Newbie at four whole times of asking, so now is his time!

I don't normally ask for consideration of my own thiiiings, but I'd like my Heroes and Villains event to be considered - while we didn't get it finished because of ~reasons~ it brought a load of activity to the Final Fantasy forums, and we also got this magnificent rap as a result - http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/166278-EPIC-RAP-BATTLE!-HEROES-vs-VILLAINS!-VOTE!?p=3600121#post3600121

There was also my Valentines Shop event which was really fun too and got a lot of response! It had a tonne of puzzles, riddles, graphics and fun and I actually finished the event. - http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/165881-Night-Fury-s-Fabulous-Valentines-Gift-Shop!

I'm not a staff member, but I worked really hard on several events in the past 6 months, so while I may not stick out as obviously as Editors/CK's/Admins, I really put a lot of myself into trying to build fun and activity recently. So, if you could consider me or recognise the efforts, I'd be really grateful and happy

And there was that silly game of Blind Date! - http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/165985-Eyes-on-Final-Fantasy-s-BLIND-DATE

Do you remember those sick sigs and avs from Heroes and Villains? They were made by Pheesh! So if you'd like to drop him a nomination for any of the creative awards I'm sure he'd love it :)

All of the graphics and comics from the event were made by myself too! - http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/166104-Heroes-and-Villains-Storyline-Thread

Location, Location, Location was a short article series I wrote a few months ago - way back in January. You've probably forgotten all about it but we looked at some pretty cool places like The Deep Jungle - http://home.eyesonff.com/content.php/3782-Location-Location-Location-Deep-Jungle-Kingdom-Hearts

I also happened to go on some dates for your benefit! - http://home.eyesonff.com/content.php/3798-I-Dated-Some-Final-Fantasy-Characters-Here-s-What-Happened
