Thinking about how incredible of a job Megumi Ogata did with Nagito Komaeda (https://youtu.be/14Hw2q-BJg0), I felt like making a topic like this. What are some of your favorite voice acting performances in video games? Whether you just really like the voice or whether it actually fits the character in question really well, either's fine.

Firion from Dissidia. His voice was really well done I thought, and all of his battle yells were really cool too.

Even though the voice acting wasn't good at all, I like the Baiten Kaitos voice acting because it added a lot of endearment and charm to the game I thought.

They won't win any awards but I think Giacomo, Melodia and Savyna were actually decent enough, especially compared to everyone else.

Metal Gear has traditionally had pretty (pardon the unintended pun) solid voice acting since MGS introduced it to the series.

Mass Effect was also pretty solid overall. Honestly, it's JRPGs I tend to find the worst VA work, barring some 90s early CD based games. I was ten minutes into Star Ocean 4 before I decided that I needed to change the language to Japanese if I ever hoped to make it through it. Many of the most cringe worthy VA work I can think of are games like Xenogears, Grandia, Star Ocean, and early Tales of games.

I will not pardon that pun. That pun is great. :colbert:

Avuncular that have been mentioned here. StarCraft was also great.

Very good shout for Jennifer Hale as Commander Shepard. Easily one of the best performances I've listened to while playing the ME trilogy. It isn't even that Mark Meer is bad, he's just comparing badly to Hale.

I also think by and large the voice acting in the Final Fantasy series is pretty good and on point, perhaps barring Vanille from FFXIII who sounds like she's having an orgasm every-time she casts a spell.

Mugen Souls Z had some great voice-acting now I'm thinking on it. Alys - a demoness idol singer - is voiced by a lady named Erin Fitzgerald and god, her voice made me love Alys to death and beyond.

Barry Gjerde gives me chills.

His portrayal of Barry Burton in the original Resident Evil was fantastic.

All portrayals in the original Resident Evil were works of art.

I will never forget this audio edit my friend found that took all the dialogue from the first two Resident Evil games and made a very convincing porn out of it.

I have always thought that the voice acting in the Metal Gear Solid games have held a very high quality.
The voice actors seem to take their job seriously and put a lot of emotion into all their lines.

If you want some truly bad voice acting then check out "Resident Evil" for the PlayStation - that game not only has terrible voice acting (to the point that it's incredibly hilarious), it also has some priceless lines, like "It looks like he was killed by a crow or something" and "You were almost a Jill sandwich".

Final Fantasy X & XII were done very well. The Uncharted series too.
