Is it ever too late to resub?

For a while now I've been toying with the idea of resubbing to Final Fantasy XIV, but I didn't play it for very long and I'm so far behind. When I stopped playing I was *this* close to Level 50 DRG (the 60 cap wasn't in place then) and my next quest was the Whorleater Leviathan battle. However I had like hardly any Gil and I didn't have high enough level gear for it, which is why I stopped playing. It also doesn't help that I don't have a TV in my room, so my PS4 is connected up downstairs in the living room, and I find it embarrassing using the chat log and stuff with my keyboard out. There's the option of Vita remote play but it's pretty laggy and the text is so small in the game anyway that I think it would be nigh on impossible! Has anybody tried FFXIV with remote play?

EDIT: Just logged in to the lodestone, and turns out I am level 50.

Nah, never too late, really. It can take a little time to catch up but not too long, provided you have time.
