Favorite professor? (main games only)

With people lusting after the freshly announced Professor Kikui (http://kotaku.com/people-are-thirsty-for-pokemon-sun-and-moons-hot-new-pr-1780107856) from the upcoming Sun and Moon games, as well as Pokemon Go's Professor Willow (http://www.theverge.com/tldr/2016/7/7/12118456/pokemon-go-professor-willow-can-get-it), I thought this might be a good opportunity to talk about the professors!

They always help us start our Pokemon journey and provide valuable advice along the way! Which one do you feel was the best?


Personally, I like Professor Birch the most. His love of the outdoors is something that I totally relate to and I can do myself doing similar types of research if I were a Pokemon Professor. Plus, being so wimpy to get chased around by a Poochyena is also totally my style. I also really like his design!

I liked Rowen. He looks the coolest.

Rowan us the most sensible i think. At the start of platinum he actually questions if he should give a giant beast to 2 kids.

Sycamore is the hottest and I don't even care that I just called a Pokemon character hot.

The two professors most fans have lusted over (Sycamore and Kukui) actually do nothing for me whatsoever. I find Professor Elm dopey and adorable. Professor Oak appears the most sensible and level-headed of them all, to be honest. He was also the first Professor, so he gains nostalgia points with me.

Oak/Juniper of the ones I've actually seen.

I get the feeling Rowan will be my favorite, but of the ones I've met, I like Elm for his geekiness and Oak for his iconic nature in the series. I was pretty happy to run into him in Silver when I didn't think he would make an appearance past the intro.
