Favorite Common Mon

We all eww and ahh over the Legendaries or starters, but what about the common mon? I don't even mean the cool ones, I'm talking about the very common mon you have to wade through to get to the more unique and interesting common mons. The one you collect once and probably just throw them in your storage area, you don't even bother leveling it, you just wait until it's evolved form becomes the new common mon in later parts and catch those instead.

honestly like any of the birds in the first area eventually turn into ridiculous powerhouses like in first gen I always had a Pidgeot in my final lineup and even with the latest gen Talonflame was so overpowered it was absurd

Black 2 and White 2, as well as X and Y. Still, in all cases they're rare encounters on a single route, so they're still hardly a common mon.

Bibarel. It will always be remembered. As the one who was always picked on by people. But showed that it could destroy many pokemon alone. Moody Bibarel is one of the most unexpected good pokemon ive ever used.

If you count Geodude as common, definitely Geodude. If you're looking for the insanely common ones, Pidgey.
