Have you ever walked out of a movie at the theatre?

I only ever did this once when I watched The Passion of the Christ as it was just ridiculous.

I suppose technically I walked out of The Accused with Jodie Foster but I was in a friend's house at the time. I couldn't handle how graphic the gang rape scene was.

It was one of the Matrix sequels, can't remember which one. So I didn't miss much anyway? I went back and watched it again that night.

I rarely go to them, but no... and doubt I would. I have too much patience that "it'll start to get good soon, I'm sure" and at worst would just end up standing up at the credits thinking "oh, it didn't". Even then I have reasonable tolerance for what others think is rubbish... I mean... I did stop watching the DVD of the Star Wars prequel but only because I had to unexpectedly go out - didn't get around to resuming it admittedly but didn't think it was that bad.

I did during the movie Stuck on You. That was because I was with a friend's family and they were appalled at the movie though. I rode with them. Otherwise I wouldn't do that because I feel it would be a waste of money and time to walk out even if it is bad.

Never, but I have seen people walk out. Once during Kill Bill. While the movie is violent, I could sense that the people left because the movie wasn't what they were expecting. They walked out at a completely random part, so I assumed they were expecting a typical action movie.

When I was younger I remember that the theater for the second Crow movie that was nearly empty to begin with. The only other people were in the very back. When the movie ended I turned around almost immediately and they were gone. I don't blame them. That's probably one of the most boring sequels ever made. I was young and really into the first movie, so I wasn't worn down by bad sequels yet. It's funny I didn't see that coming back then in retrospect.

The most recent time is during The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I don't think I need to say which part because if you seen it you know what I am referring to. I enjoyed the movie and I am resilient to dark stuff, and even that got to me. Though, I give the film props for realistically showing how awful such an act can be. Other movies tend to be tasteless when they try stuff like that. Anyway, I don't blame anyone for walking out of that one. Though the marketing did STRONGLY suggest the movie would be no camping trip, most people weren't prepared for it.

But yeah, I never found myself walking out of a bad movie. I just grin and bear it and then I find it fun discussing or ripping apart the movie with friends afterwards.

I came really fucking close to it watching Silent Hill Revelations....

I never have but a few deserved to be walked out on. Also there were some I was dragged to thinking I wouldn't like it yet they were great movies.

No, but there are two instances where I came very close. The first was The Exorcism of Emily Rose because it was so dreadfully boring. I was expecting something more like The Haunting or The Exorcist, not a supernatural Law & Order episode. The second was the horrible Land of the Lost movie starring Will Ferrell, because it was so bad it felt like a horrible comedy endurance test.

I managed to make it through both though. Every other bad movie I've seen in the theater was still entertaining enough that the urge to walk out never happened.

No. I very nearly walked out of Just Married, a godawful Ashton Kutcher romcom from the early 2000s, but I stayed out of some kind of respect for the friends who had suggested seeing it. We had almost decided to see Die Another Day instead, and even a re-watch of the very worst James Bond film would've been preferable.

My wife walked out of The Dark Knight Rises, and I can't say I blame her since that movie managed to piss me off while also being tedious twaddle. I stuck it out, though, so that no-one could say I was arguing from ignorance when I went online to express my many colourful feelings afterward.

About 15 minutes in, I was finding it to be some of the bleakest, dankest, most depressing shit I had ever seen, so I quietly left the room and napped downstairs for the remainder.

I walked out of Snakes on a Plane because it made me feel sick, and also Pan's Labyrinth because it gave me a panic attack.
