Favorite Mario game?

So there's a ton of these. Which one is your favorite?

While I enjoy all the karts and parties that I can enjoy with my family, Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is still one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I've ever had, period - let alone the best Mario game!

64 for me. That's still so much fun. Camera controls didn't age well, but other than that it's great.

Mario RPG! The characters, the soundtrack and the world were all so good. Super Mario World is definitely up there too.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 was the best 3D Mario and took what they started with Mario 64 and perfected it, but the 2D games will always be the core of the series. Mario World was great and the Yoshi sequel may even be better, but none of the 2D games since Super Mario Bros. 3 have really come close to the evolution that game provided to the 2D platforming genre. It pretty much provided the formula that is still used today.

Super Mario RPG for sure. The Mario & Luigi and Paper Mario games were enjoyable but honestly none of them could recreate the magic of SMRPG for me.

When it comes to the platformers - Yoshi's Island if we're counting it, SMB 3 if we're not :D

Choosing between Super Mario World, Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart 8 would be very hard indeed.

It's very tough to say here. First off I loved all the Karts. Mario Tennis on GBA was a great game too. RPG was well written and enjoyable also. May have to say either Super Mario World though, or unpopular opinion Super Mario Brothers 2. Spent hours on 2 and loved how different it was.
