My Dad is barbecuing chicken today. We might have some green salad to go with it too.

Made two kinds of Mac and cheese for dinner. Made one with browned ham and the other with crab meat.

Subway because boyfriend is gone for the night and I cook 40 hours a week so I don't feel like doing much but gaming.

Cooking some ravioli at the moment. A nice easy dinner for a really hot day.

I'm making an all vegetable peanut and lime curry/satay thing....

It has broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, and baby carrots. It was going to be a stir fry but there's so much veg that I don't want to throw in noodles too... And the sauce is a bit thicker and more curry like than a stir fry one. SO I'll probably just serve the vegetables extra saucy with a couple of poppadoms. I'm excited.

Scored 5 lbs of mussels for $12 @ Costco.

Gonna steam them in Corona beer with sauteed onion, garlic, tomatoes, serrano and either habanero or some of my dried chiles, cumin, and lots of lime. And throw in some cilantro at the end.

And maybe make some tacos de carne asada, my amazing Mexican red rice, and spicy black beans with my favorite mad spicy avocado-tomatillo salsa, and a roasted salsa rojo with some of my dried chiles- maybe use some guajillo and Thai chiles.

Making steak with salt and pepper chips tonight.

Sometimes the simplest meals are the best.

Chicken marinated in herbs and black pepper, served on a bed of brown rice with vegetables. Was pretty decent.
