View Full Version : Perk Trees. Do you like them?

A good perk tree has been done well in many RPG's that can help give a game replayability and make a character different. What are your thoughts on this? Do you wish FF would do something like this too?

You mean like, a point build system?

I mean like on a level up you get a point to spend on say extra damage, or you can unlock a skill for your player. Things like that. Like what Dragon age would do.

Oh right. 3rd Edition D&D does that. It's pretty cool, I guess.

I love when you level up in a video game and get to give yourself some new points or a new skill and you feel just a little bit more powerful. It's like, the ultimate amazing RPG feel.

This. This this this. Even incremental increases are great this way, it's the whole point of RPGs on the gameplay side.
