I think its Pala me see a.
But I say pala me sha
It's pronounced with a hard K sound in the Japanese original.
Looking at it I'd probably say Pa-la-mesh-i-a

Pal-a-mess-i-a. I also use the mess-i-a for Ultimecia.

If they wanted a hard k sound, they shouldn't have messed up the transliteration. Palame-sia. Ultime-sia.

I have always used an English pronunciation.
"Pal-uh-mee-see-uh", I guess.

Oh yeah, no I agree. I was just pointing out the different pronunciation.
I think there is a war ship named the Palamecia in XII or XIII? I would refer to that pronunciation, tbh.

I checked the Japanese version of this game for the Famicom a few minutes ago, and it was indeed spelled as "PaRaMeKiA".

That's interesting, I have no idea where I got "Palamecia" from.

Interestingly, in the unreleased NES localization, they call it "Palakia," keeping the hard "k" sound.

I always thought that the script in that version sounded kind of unnatural, like they had tried to translate the exact lines in the Japanese version or something.
Take the line "He sure is alive", for example;
do English-speaking people really talk like that?
I always thought that this sounded like they were saying "He is alive, indeed".
I would expect them to say maybe "I am sure he is alright", or something like that.
I am actually watching that video right now, and I can't stop laughing at some of the lines.
Hilda - "How is he, MingWu?"
MingWu - "Yes... I sense great vitality."
Hilda - "Oh, please."
