Enjoy your extended weekend, though it may be FFXVless! I have a week off from tomorrow (I wasn't aware of the release date when I booked my holiday as we book a year in advance). Luckily I also booked a week off from the 27th November so I'll still have half a week off when it releases on the 30th.

People book time off work to commemorate game releases? Huh.
People book time off work to commemorate game releases? Huh.
This is exactly why Dragon Quest always comes out in Japan on a Saturday.

I don't think it was to commemorate, just so you could buy the game and binge it without having to think about work and not playing the game. :p

Yeah as I said I didn't book it off specifically for it, as the game didn't even have a release date when I booked it. Anyway, I got confused when I made this thread. TODAY would have been launch day, not yesterday. Just got in from work and I would be playing right nooowwwww!

I'll do you one better. I took 2 days off to play the FFXV Duscae demo.
Not that it took 2 days to get through, but I did write a review for it :monster:

Pretty much this :) I figured a Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon weekend would be enough time to binge out the core of the game.
I rarely take time off for game releases though, unless it's something I am very hyped for.

Oh, I meant playing it. Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest you guys book time off work to mark an occasion :p
Honestly I think the only game I'm hyped for enough to book work off is probably Persona 5 in February 14th. But my birthday is February 18th, so I might book time off work anyway and do what you did Auly and have a big weekend. Which works because the 18th is a Saturday next year.
Hmmmmmm. :plotting:

I rescheduled mine, but ended up re-booking 28th-30th for XIV patch 3.4 anyway. :shobon:

I need to check-out 3.4 but WoW has me firmly within it's talons right now.

Understandable! You'll be happy to know that your boy Zheko has well and truly ingrained himself into the FC. :D
