It's inktober! A month of every day drawing with ink!

I'm doing a 31 witches one. I'm two days behind but here's my first two!

Ugh, I need to buy a new ink bottle first, since I've just run out...

These look awesome, btw!

Thanks! I just bought a bunch of nice pens and markers yesterday just for this. And a new sketch book! I'm starting two days late. So I have two more to draw today to be all caught up.

#1 is a seasonal witch
#2 is a Modern witch
#3 will be a merchant witch
#4 will be a garden witch!

So I got the merchant and the garden witch to do today. Tomorrow is a socialite witch.

I might actually do some fan art if I do get some ink. And, of course, as long as my fountain pen still functions properly, as it hasn't seen use in quite a long time. Worse comes to worst, I still have some markers and pens, so.

And yay for witches!

Ha, they're both great! I love the fact that the first witch has a black cat mug :D

I'm a terrible, terrible artist. If I do post any pictures it will only be for comedic effect.

OKAY so here's my day 3, The Merchant Witch. I tried a full body. I'm bad at anatomy and so my bodies aren't that good. My sketch book is tiny so I ended up having to draw smaller for the face and what not so it doesn't look as good as normal. This is my least favorite so far. I smashed this out on my lunch so that's probably why.

So now I'm sorta caught up! I just have to do my Garden witch for today which is the official day 4 one and then I can go back to just doing one a day. I'll spend more time on it tonight so hopefully it will come out much better. I have a pumpkin idea so I'm excited :D I plan on adding more cats!

I'm having fun! This is helping my skills.

Oh and here's my Day 4 - Garden Witch! I'm feeling pretty good. Less rusty. I haven't really tried to draw in agessss.

This is the prompt list if anyone is lost for inspiration.

I would like to give this a crack but I have no ink pens. Just ballpoints, I guess it sort of counts but eh..

EDIT: You know what, I think I'll give this a go! I'm gonna use biro - and even if that's not really what you should use it's still flexing the art muscles right? I've thought of a theme for myself too, 31 Powerful Women. :) Guess I better catch up haha! I'll try and share on instagram and here where possible! :) I'll also see if sometime this month I can hit an art shop and get some proper brush pens or something!

Oh there's a ton of different challenges out there! Do it! You have time to catch up!

That's the normal one. I'm doing the witchy one! Some are combining them!

Here's my Day 5 Witch! Socialite Witch!

I was thinking Derby hat type of socialite. This is probably my favorite so far.

Day 6 - Oracle Witch!

I found my gold marker. I've been having an obsession with gold lately. My nails are gold (you can see my thumb I need to paint them again) my phone is gold etc

I tried to do a floating oracle doing some ritual, I kept thinking of that scene from 300 with this prompt for some reason. I tried to do another fullbody picture. Muuuuch better than day 3. I guess I was just rusty. I'm feeling confident about my skills now. Which is good.

I had added a shadow when i was sketching but I forgot to ink it when I erased things, whoops. But she's floating.

Oh you're doing the inktober challenge as well! It's a good practice surely and gets you to draw every day :).

Love the golden ink you used in your last drawing and I think your line work has already improved since your first drawing.
Funnily enough, my next drawing will also be a witch/sorcerer :D.

Btw, are you planning to take part in the Halloween competition?
