Summons that need to make a comeback.

You know what I mean, that awesome summon you love from one of your favorite FFs but is either unique to that entry or just seems to get sidelined all the time for the Shiva, Ifrit, Odin, Leviathan, and Bahamut summons. So what one-note or underrated summons would you love to see make a comeback?

Also, while he has actually shown up a couple of times since his debut. I feel like Diablos should stay on as a regular Gravity summon.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Carbuncle has also become a pretty regular summon nowadays. It's got tons to do in FFXIV, from what I heard, and it looks like he's in XV in some shape or form.

I would like to see the FFXII summons make at least one reapparance in the main games because they were actually pretty dang awesome and had a nice theme!

Shadowseer, a Hunt from FFXII should be a Darkness summon, an element that should be brought in permanently. Or just bring back Zalera and call him the Darkness summon for all eternity.

No, that should be Atomos.

I think the ultimate summons of each of the games starting from the PS1 should stay exclusive to their game, so I don't want to see Knights of the Round return.

Ifrit is in FFXIV! ;) He has a whole three fights, too, two of which are required as part of the main story quests.

He's also in XI and I believe he makes a cameo in XIII in the Nautilus stage show telling the backstory of Cocoon and the war with Pulse. Ifrit doesn't have it nearly as bad as Ramuh.

I like Diabolos, I feel like he could make a comeback. I agree with Moon though, the sort of 'game-exclusive' summons should probably remain as such, especially if they're ultimates.

Which is why I'm not sure I want the espers from FFXII returning unless it is a game set in Ivalice, I feel as if they're integral to that particular land and culture. It'd feel weird seeing them elsewhere.

I like that Carbuncle is back, though hopefully it isn't as useless as merely casting 'Reflect'.

Oddly enough, I really feel like Knights of the Round may actually show up in FFXV. Noctis collecting all of the Regal weapons and how they levitate around him just gives me this weird feeling the last summon might incorporate them and KotR just seems like it would fit really easily with that.

It feels like a decade since I "Hellfire"ed a bunch of ice fiends. Probably cause I don't play the Mmo's and he wasn't usable in XII and XIII.

Brothers would be fun. Diablos as well because he's awesome. I just feel like the brothers had good personality. I like when the summons have a personality that you see both in and out of battle.

You can summon one by using an item much like Phoenix will show up as well when you use a Phoenix Pinion. I say "proper" but I mean it actually has a real summon animation minus the Boost. Though in the Japanese and PC versions where Chocobo Minigame from the Pocketstation can be accessed, it was possible to alter the Chocobo's summon attack to the point it will use Choco Meteor.
