Why was the Grim Reaper so grim?
Because today was the day there were going to shoot Harambe. Today was the day he was meant to ascend to the plane above and harvest that, the gentlest, the noblest of souls. Try as he might, there was no way to stop it. He was Death incarnate, and he could not cheat Himself. To watch as that noble beast was slaughtered for naught, while the vilest of humans continued to destroy the Earth, which had survived for millenia. Harambe was a light in the darkness, but the humans extinguished it. And with it, they were bringing their own demise. Perhaps in a way, he should be thankful, for his purpose was to reap souls. But someday--someday quite soon--there would be no more souls to reap. Without that purpose, would he exist?
