The Regalia Type-F is the best thing ever

Hahahaha yeah. I had one where I took off on a road in Duscae and crashed straight into the big rock arch I forgot was directly above the road. Best game over I've ever had in a video game. Ever.

Even more brilliant that it requires you to pretty much manage a perfect skill landing to reach the hidden dungeon.

I nailed my first flight and landing. Then later on I accidentally pressed circle while meaning to get out of the Regalia and started flying and promptly crashed, losing a good 10-20 minutes of collectible farming. D'oh.

How/when do you even get it? I'm currently stuck at what I think is the final boss fight and I've not seen any shred or clue of the flying car yet. O__o

I think you have to beat the game first.

You need to complete the game AND take out all 3 of the Nif bases.

Thankfully only one base needs to be done outside of the regular story, so it's not as daunting as it sounds if you've already beaten the game. Just the one base, which conveniently is where you get the item to upgrade the car if I recall correctly...?
