Chrono Trigger.
Srs, I'd heard amazing things about the game and I played it way after it came out and was revolutionary and I still love the heck out of it
Agreed. Had a similar thing with Xenogears, though I guess that game is a bit more controversial than most.
Also, FFIX!

I love Monopoly, even if I never win at it. I'm not ruthless enough. While we're on the topic of board games: Cluedo! But only with the bits of paper, I'm hopeless without it. Forbidden Desert is a new favourite of mine, as is Dix-it, and Cards Against Humanity.
As for video games, I've always had a soft spot for hack n' slash Warriors games, like Dynasty Warriors. There's just something so simple, yet strangely strategic and tactical about it if you bother to do the harder content.

Portal, it was one of those games I put off for so long because everyone wouldn't shut up about it. But it lived up to the hype.

Any of the Pokemon games!
Sun and Moon is my first experience playing a Pokemon game, so I feel silly getting excited about how much I like it while everyone else is like, "Duh!"

I was thinking of jokingly mentioning "Super Mario Bros." in the thread were people asked for obscure games, but I figured that this thread is probably better.
"Super Mario Bros." is one of the greatest phenomena from the last century, I don't think I have met one single person who does NOT know about Mario.
Not even the "Star Wars" series can quite compare with the "Super Mario" series.

Hey you guys. I discovered Gravity Rush. I assume you all know about it. I played the demo for 2 and it was so good I had to try the original.
Remember those old 3d platformers where you had a ton of floating coins and stuff to collect? Like, Mario 64 and Spyro and Crash Bandicoot? Gravity Rush does this and its the most fun variant of it in at least a decade because of the gravity shifting mechanics. I'll happily just float around town collecting all the precious gems and then spend the gems on upgrades to allow me to float longer and thus collect more precious gems. I love it.
And I love Kat. She's such an adorable protagonist and I just want her to be happy in all things.
